"Are you monologuing?" Comes Sam's voice from behind Venom as he materialises out of a long, snake-like tendril of golden smoke that had made it's way out of the house and up to the roof.
Venom tilts his head slightly-thus managing to get even more drool on the roof-and grins at bit at Sam. If Venom looked like your average person, it would be more of a smirk, but the sheer size and number of teeth make it a more or less permanent grin.
"We'd offer to spar with you, but then you'd most likely be as injured as Will."
"Fine by us!" Venom says, sounding far too cheerful as he suddenly shoots a webline at Sam's feet, aiming to snag on and yank his feet out from under him.
It's clobberin' ti-oh, wait, that catchphrase is somebody else's.
But he can run with that. The webline hasn't quite reached Sam's feet by the time he dissolves into gold mist, floating upwards and slowly arcing outwards to form wings, then talons, until there's a glowing, misty bird with wings the length of a house looming over Venom.
There's a flash from somewhere where it's chest would be and mist turns abruptly to flame.
If there's one thing symbiotes hate almost as much as sonics, it's fire. They come from the Frankenstein's monster school of thought on that topic, and it's very obvious in the way that tendrils suddenly sprout off his costume, waving madly. While it's not actually said, the 'OH SHIT' is very heavily implied.
Venom decides to scuttle for the relative safety of the house's side, trying to figure out his next best plan of attack.
Venom, meanwhile, has calmed down considerably, judging by the lack of frantically waving tendrils. Now he's laying in wait, watching Sam. For a few moments, he doesn't move, just watching Sam, tensing-and then springing, aiming to pounce on Sam.
Venom manages to grin wider-take that, mr. hellish-bird-of-fire! He aims a punch at Sam's head, avoiding using his claws for the moment. 'We accidently ripped his face off while sparring' probably wouldn't be believed, if such a thing happened. Better to play it safe.
Venom isn't expecting that strength, and finds himself being pushed back. He steps back further, growling, as he begins to circle around Sam, trying to figure out his next move-and if Sam will make anything burst into flames again.

Venom? Smug in his abilities? Perhaps.
