It took a while, but the government set up Eden's bank account. She's not looking forward to doing the same thing with Anna, so she hasn't suggested it yet

"I know this great ice cream place down a few streets that's open pretty regularly," Anna offers. "Is ice cream replenishing enough for you?"

"Oh, I suppose," Eden says with a smirk.

[downsidedarling]

"You're so demanding." Dreamer grins! "It's adorable. C'mon."

She likes having things demanded of her. It suits her need to be useful.

[carefulwishes]

"More adorable than a puppy and a kitten trying to squeeze into the same slipper?"

[downsidedarling]

"Not only more adorable, but more logistically sane!"

Beam.

[carefulwishes]

"I do pride myself on my sanity - the parking meter tells me to." She gives an exaggerated wink to the nearest parking meter, helpful friend that it is.

[downsidedarling]

"Parking meters." Sigh. "So helpful, those things."

[carefulwishes]

A la Monica from Friends: "I know!"

[downsidedarling]

A la Sasan from So NoTORIous: "You do!"

A la someone from some show somewhere: "Word."

"Ice cream," says Anna cheerfully, pointing.

"Glee!"

And Eden does look gleeful.

"Cuter than a kitten and a puppy trying to fit into the same slipper with a lamb," she declares triumphantly, slinging her arm around the shorter woman's shoulders.

"That would break the slipper," Eden admonishes, "and thus the cuteness is lost."

Try to keep up, Anna.

Eden neither responds nor shrugs off the arm over her shoulders. She merely looks over at the list of flavours for fat-free yogurt.

Anna goes for a banana split.

"It's a really big slipper," she says mock-sulkily.

Eden goes for blueberry-flavoured yogurt and pays for it with her government-issued debit card.

They need to think about food. They need to think about sheets and kitchen supplies and entertainment and a job....

"Who wears that slipper, the Jolly Green Giant?"
