Possibly Will might see the short man, white linen shirt off, sunbathing in the warm earth of one of the fields.

Tom hasn't been around the house much since he discovered Smallville, but he does come back for the simple pleasures.

Will gives a wave to the man who looks rather comfortable, and even calls out,

"Fair day, sir, 'ppears ye've found a grand spot."

Tom blinks, annoyed at the interruption, then sits up, then realizes he recognizes that accent. Much like Jack's clothes, it doesn't quite fit with what Tom's used to, but it's closer than anything else in this land.

So instead of telling Will to bugger off, Tom manages a friendly smile and a "Fair day yourself, good-sir."

Will's clothes are an odd mish mash, he still has his own hose and boots but he's wearing a modern t-shirt and fiddles with his bandages.

First person he's heard who sounds like home, best keep quiet about being an outlaw,

"Are ye from England, sir?"

Not what he meant to ask but well it came out.

Tom's expression falls to a frown as he shakes his head. Ah well. Bit too much to hope for, wasn't it?

"Fremmanish, I am. From Cardin city. You?"

His expression falls too,

"Nottingham, England, sir, ye just sounded o''ome, forgive me."

"This world's got bits like enough to my own to cause that kinda mistake," Tom grouses.

"Oh aye, sir, doesna seem like mine yet does."

"Well now you got someone sounds like he's from your land, don'tcha?" Tom points out. He's too lazy to get to his feet, but remains sitting.

"Name's Tom Therin, lad."

Will's come over a little closer though he's moving stiffly, sat under the tree for too long, but does try and give a decent bow,

"Will Scarlett, sir, an aye, tis somethin'."

Tom's eyes narrow at the bow - for a moment he thinks he's being mocked, but up until this point Will has seemed very sincere, so now he's not sure what to think.

"No need for bowin' or scrapin', righ' 'en?" he says, more sharply than he intended.

There's some fidgeting with his sleeves and bandages,

"Oh aye, course, sir, just e'eryone I've met 'ere seems to 'ave rare gifts an seems like Faerie an I'm just myself so best to be polite is all."

"Faerie," Tom repeats, his ill-humour starting to vanish. He gives a snort of amusement. "S'pose that's one way to think of all this. Lord, haven' heard that word since I was a nipper."

Bit more fidgeting since clearly Tom is far more educated then him or must be,

"Um aye, sir, just borders seem closer in Sherwood at times though wasna there when I feel through."

"I was at the docks of Cardin lookin' for a ship,. Couldn't turn round without hittin' a fishmonger or a whore. Don't think that's close to Faerie - though some of the whores'd have you think they could lead you to heaven itself."

He's still amused by the idea.

Will really doesn't want to say where he was, clearly the man is nice and just he's an outlaw, at this rate, the left bandage is going to come off,

"Oh aye, sir, ne'er seen the sea myself, Nottingham's too far inland just 'ave Sherwood's sea o'Green."
