When you are an anime girl, you get certain instincts.

And those instincts say that a big thing with tentacles is bad.

Like, worse than for non-anime people bad.

Which is why there is now a "KYAAAAAA!" echoing across the fields.

Spots's eyes get EVEN WIDER and he flattens himself against the door (and against the wall on either side of it, of course) making a high-pitched squeaking sound.

WHAT IS THAT NOISE WHAT IS IT OH GOD D: D: D: WHERE IS SOMEONE TO PROTECT HIM?

It isn't attacking.

This does not mean that everything is safe, of course.

But at least it means that she is going to hold off on further screaming for a bit.

(One could argue that she could also remember her arsenal and substantial combat experience, but, again, anime girl.)

Spots, meanwhile, tries to meld with the wall, quivering.

He can quiver quite impressively. Like jelly.

The thought crosses her mind, briefly, that this would feed a lot of people, for quite a while.

Though something pings in her RAM.

"ah... you're... someone's pet, aren't you?"

If you are not, you're totally going to be dinner. And leftovers.

Spots stares at her, terrified, and quivers a little more.

"Daaa... ddeee?"

It talks! That means it's not going on the menu anytime soon.

That also means that she switches gears to maternal.

"Are you looking for your Papa?"

"Daddy," Spots confirms, nodding desperately. Nodding is almost different to quivering, sort of! "Daddy!"

This 'go-find-food' plan was so much better when it did not involve having to talk to people! He just wanted some decomposing waterlogged meat!

"All right! Do you know where Daddy might be right now?"

Sadly for Spots, there is probably not very much of that in the kitchen. 95 has roll cakes, though, which is kind of like that? In a way? in that they are both edible?
