Solemnly, almost nobly, Sokka approaches with hands behind his back. He looks at his tiny nieces and their squealing play for a moment, then sits gracefully beside them. His chin lifts slightly and he frowns, as if their activities are ever so below them.
Then he brings his hands out from behind his back to show his newest project.
Someone, apparently, has described a bubble gun to him.
He proceeds to very solemnly and gracefully blow a ring of bubbles around his sister's head.
Mel raises an eyebrow and proceeds to give her brother a dry look that remains steady throughout the time it takes Hana to hit her mother in the head, once for each bubble, and more for the bubbles she misses or that don't pop.
Loo is already trying to prise the gun out of her uncle's hands.
Loo would like to see him try that while she attempts to climb up him. Or is that pull his arm down? And it requires grabbing his arm near the shoulder and pulling while kicking him in the hips, it could be either.
Mel attempts to grab Hana's hands, but grabbing one just means she gets hit with the other. Considering Mel is known to be faster and stronger than most mother's, let alone her own children, you'd think she'd be better at stopping this if she really wanted to.
Sokka is not really more physically -er than most uncles, but he still manages not to look too perturbed about being climbed (though his free hand is making sure Loo's feet don't kick anything but his hip). He leans to the side as she climbs him at about a forty-five degree angle and focuses on putting bubbles in Mel's hair instead.
Every bubble that reaches Mel's hair is popped, and then Hana focuses on trying for the ones going for Mel's hair. This means that soon Sokka isn't the only one being climbed, because the space between him and his sister is filled with bubbles and the occasional grabby hands trying to take the bubbles.
Loo is definitely climbing, now. Getting herself up is proving easier than getting hs arm down.
"Really? 'Cause it seems like you're asking for something."
Two twins + already existing crazy angles = uncle on the ground.
With his arm sticking straight up in the air, still holding the trigger.
And losing the Don't Smile game when he starts laughing at them. "They're going to be really disappointed when they get it. It's about half a second from running out of soap."
Once the wind's been knocked out of him, Sokka abandons the bubble gun. He has other things to do - like grab hold of the girls with a big scary growl and tickle them into submission.
It's funny how neither girl is particularly scared by Uncle Sokka's big scary growl. Hana screams and tries to bury herself into his tummy, while Loo refuses to be distracted in her pursuit of gun.
Well, it wouldn't be any fun if they were really scared. Which is why Hana is bundled up in one arm against his stomach and further tickled, while Loo is grabbed by her shirt and dragged back into the cuddle pile.
It's important to spend quality wrestling time with family, you know.
Lying on his back now, Sokka keeps one arm wrapped around Hana, occupying her attention with further tickles and cuddles. In order to look at Loo, he has to tilt his head back at a somewhat uncomfortable angle, which means he's looking at her upside-down.
And frowning as deeply as possible, still holding the back of her shirt.
Sokka grins. Because if Loo starts crying for lack of toy now, it's totally not his fault.
"Oh, that toy!" he exclaims, suddenly seeing the light - and tugging on the back of Loo's shirt again. Not hard, just trying to annoy her. "I think Mom just stole it from me. You know how she is, Loo, always stealin' stuff."
And since Mom will be in trouble now, Sokka takes the opportunity to let out another war cry/growl and tackle Hana for continued tickles.
The trouble is, that Loo's REALLY PROUD of this fact. Though she's not sure what it means, aside from stealing stuff. She's still struggling though. "Momomomomomom!"
Mel has taken the gun to the bubble mix bucket, and is now filling it up.

Loo grabs his wrist and pulls again, just as Hana tumbles off Mel's shoulders onto Sokka's belly, and Mel really loses it.

She kicks halfheartedly and reaches towards the gun again.
"Want toy, Unc' Sokka!" she complains, over Hana's squeals of delight and more enthusiastic wriggles and kicks.

The one just out of reach of Loo, who is still struggling against her shirt, like it's the vry last obstacle betwen her and true happiness.
"This one?" Mel says, darting ove Sokka and grabbing it for herself.
Hana isn't in any state to be doing anything. Tickling is TOO MUCH.
