"Gah!" What the hell is that thing? Is it speaking English? "Shoo, go away!" Kon waves his hands and sends off a warning heat vision blast. He doesn't want to hurt the thing or fight it at all if he can help it. But it doesn't look like something friendly.

Kon feels something that he's pretty sure did something to his brain, and everything's sort of fuzzy. He uses his heat vision on the bat thingy, still not full power. He'd much rather just scare it away than hurt it too badly. His heat vision shouldn't do more than singe it.

This thing is not nice at all! Crobat does not want to stick around! It is going to swoop down toward an old farmstead.

Oh no you don't. Kon knows that farmstead. He swoops down after the thing shooting heat vision around it, trying to drive it away from the farm. "Stay away from my family, creepy bat thing!"

It flutters worriedly, then swoops down to the porch, taking shelter behind a very small Japanese woman.

The thing's attacking a woman! "Watch out, lady!" he flies around her and rounds on the creature, eyes red with heat vision. "Go somewhere where you can't hurt anyone, little guy. There's got to be lots of bugs and fruit or whatever in the wild."

"Eh? Oh dear... ano... Excuse me, sir..."

The giant bat is already swooshing around her and away from the scary guy.

"I do not believe I've seen you around here before?"

"Superboy. Good to meet you. I've been dead a few years, but I thought they still talked about me around here. Can you wait a minute?" He flies around her again.

"Dead? Oh d- oh, er... I suppose..." This being flown around is making her dizzy!

Especially since the bat is doing its damnedest to keep her between it and Superboy.

Kon sighs. "Sorry about this." He picks the woman up and quickly puts her behind him. "Now I've got you, you flying rat."

"Oh, my goodness! You-! What are you doing to Crobat-chan?!"

"Who what? Look, I'll protect you from this thing, I just gotta shoo it away or something." He rounded on the bat thing.

"Ano... It isn't that I don't appreciate the help, but... I don't think Crobat-chan is going to do anything."

Other than flutter up to the roof. It's going to do that.

"Crobat-chan? Is that its name? Is it a pet or something?" He knew the Kents didn't have some freaky bat-thing as a pet. But for now he let the bat go. "What the heck is it?"
