So there are two people walking up the road to the Cooper place.

One of them is green and naked.

The other one's gray and checking out the green one's butt.

...OTP? You decide!

Angelo's not too sure about OTP, but he certainly is loving the view. The only sad part is that 46 likes holding hands, and it's hard to make ogling subtle when you're supposed to be walking beside the person.

But whatever. Angelo makes do in the face of adversity. He's Just. That. Cool.

Or something.

Dryly: "Please tell me he doesn't glorify being experimented on, either."

Shay chooses not to appear. The voice has no visible source, the portals through which it's being sent are too small to see.

46 goes D:.

"That's Shay," she tells Angelo, getting about 110% more cuddly. "He's mean. He told me everyone I knew was dead."

Angelo, who is already frowning because invisible people are irritating and invisible people that talk in your head are even more so, is glad to put a very comforting arm around 46. There, there. Your protector is here!

"...are they?" he asks after a moment, eyeing the air with a raised brow. "Not that it really matters, but he'd be curious to know how Shay knows.

As Shay is usually not so much for the wanting to freak people out, let's say this is Long.

"If they lived in this world. It's likely they don't." Mildly.

"No-one I've asked has even heard of Erasmus. Or six one eight null three three nine Hyperboras, North Quarter, Laurentia." She says the address as though it's a rote sequence of which she really doesn't comprehend the meaning. That would be because it is.

Angelo is eyeing both of them a little dubiously. Hot and naked aside, 46 is sounding more than a little weird there.

Shay's mood alone is just unnerving at the moment.

"So you don't actually know f'they're dead," he points out, glancing to 46. "So they could be all good, muy bueno. So... no problem."

Right?

There's a low chuckle from every direction around them.

"We can safely presume that they're not. It was a rather angry exclamation," And then Long's walking behind them. While Shay may not be able to teleport stealthily, what with the bright light and all, Long has his powers honed to a fine art, and can be much more subtle. "They did some very unpleasant things to 46."

46 eeps. And clings to Angelo.

Muttered: "He made me cry."

Angelo is confused. And 46 is decidedly less sexy when acting like a scared little girl. Which doesn't make Angelo less friendly, it just makes him less friendly.

And frowning at Long, turning to watch him approach. "She doesn't seem to think so," Angelo points out with a glance to 46 when she eeps.

"She's never had a birthday celebrated. Her memories of her previous life were removed. She can't think of anything more fun than having her speed tested," Long replies, lightly. "She dies if she isn't touched every hour and a half. Whether she thinks so or not, they weren't exactly pleasant people."

...okay, Long really does have a point there.

Excuse the plant metaphor, but there's really no better way to say it: 46 wilts.

Angelo blinks when there's a wilting girl on his arm.

"...not that I don't agree with you," he begins looking over at Long, "'cause I do, I'm not a big fan'a experimenting on people, on principle an' shit. But I don't think you're changin' her mind about who's a nice guy and who's not when you're makin' her cry."

In general, Angelo's not much for coddling people, especially when they should be old enough to take care of themselves. But with 46 acting like a scared little girl on his arm, it's hard to think her of anything more than that.

...T&A aside.

"That wasn't me, it was my ... idiot twin of sorts," Long says, cheerfully. "It's complicated."

46 is a lot like a scared little girl. There's certain kinds of bone-deep innocence that come with having all your memories removed and then not being told anything more than you need to know in order to be a prototype (or happen to pick up listening to the chatter of the people in the lab coats).

She's just sort of blinking now. Idiot twin? Whut?

Angelo is from a world of mutants, each with a completely unique power, some even with the ability to create doubles of themselves.

That doesn't mean he hasn't heard the 'My evil twin did it!' excuse before, though.

"Sure, whatever." Angelo looks down at 46 and very carefully extracts his arm from hers because the hot girl is now a little girl and that makes things, uh... weird.

"Hey, you wanna show me around? Like where the food is?"
