So you might have noticed there's a big ol' robot parked out back of the bunker at the Cooper farm. It's large and green and looks very battered

Oliver arrives in his van. He has a few supplies in the back - cold remedies, ibuprofen, muscle relaxants, paper, pencils, some more blankets - which he'll distribute in the morning. He's also got some other cargo in his van which he's determined not to think about.
The giant robot proves a very good distraction. With a small glowing ball of flame above his right hand to light his way, Oliver examines it, puzzled and wary of coming too close to it.
"Hello," he greets, on the perfectly rational assumption that, since the last robot he met talked to him, this one might.
Oliver's eyes linger on the particularly big rifle. It's like a titan, from the old legends.
"Mm." A short, soft noise of understanding, little more.
He doesn't know whether Neil is the hero type or not, or he'd suggest talking to the Birds about helping on rescue/possibly deadly engagement missions. His expression when he turns back to Neil is thoughtful.
"I was in a paramilitary organization, in-- on my former world. What rank are you?"
"One of those-- a Gundam--" he says, nodding past Oliver at the mech, "can take on any one moderately sized army in a fair fight. They're the top of the line where mobile suits are concerned, by a pretty big margin."
It's a statement of fact, not a boast.
"Dynames here is a support unit more than anything, but that doesn't mean she can't hold her own."
He does, however, hope that by army Neil meant 'army of other Gundams', not 'army of humans with guns' which is the first thing his mind leapt to. His expression flickers to a frown for just a moment.
"Everyone," he says wryly. "Before I arrived in this world, I was part of an organization dedicated to ending war. We didn't make many friends doing it. Now... I want to find a use for Dynames that doesn't involve shooting at anyone, if I can."
He also plans to get in on hunting down the people who are building churches out of human flesh, but that's a slightly disturbing topic to raise so early in his acquaintance with Oliver. Val didn't think of it in those terms, but Valerie Bell is about as tactful as a hydrogen bomb.
"Ending war," Oliver repeats, slightly disbelieving. Yes, that is a big gun, but ending all war does seem a teensy bit difficult.
Oliver nods at the news of Neil's current change in career - much more approving of that than of killing people. "Perhaps reconstruction," he suggests.

It's possible the robot is sleeping.
Alternately, it's possible it isn't autonomous.
Was that shadowy figure always leaning against the corner of the bunker like that?

-- shadow!
Long combat training means Oliver falls into the beginnings of a defensive stance before he stops himself. He holds his right hand closer to the form.

"Hello."

"Greetings, sir. Come to inspect this newly-arrived marvel?"

He sounds faintly amused.
"You won't get much of a response talking to it, I'm afraid. No mind of its own to talk back with."

Weird.
"Do you, ah, go inside it?" It is human-shaped, which means it must be like armor.

It leaves him fishing for something else to say, however.
