Sokka is Fixing The Kitchen Tap.

(It wasn't broken.)

This means that right now, there's a slowly-flowing stream of water out the kitchen door, but he's managed to actually seal the pipe. And in another half hour or so, the tap will be flowing better than before, heat up faster, and turn off easier.

Claire has been in the hospital, and in the bunker, and around the farm more than she's usually around the farm. Because there's a BABY and she's muscled her way in as a nurse, and she wants to keep an eye on both Sonia and Ralph

And now she's heading towards the kitchen with dirty diapers, bottles that need washing, and all sorts of things to do that make her feel more useful than she's felt in a long time.

She steps over her boyfriend on the way to the laundry hamper, steps over hism again to get to the sink, then finds out that there's no running water available.

"...what have you done to the faucet?"

"It's fine," Sokka promises, rolling over in the water to grin up at her.

Of course, this means now he is wet on his back as well as his fornt.

"I'll fix it in a second. I am fixing it. Promise!"

"Sure you are," Claire objects. "Now I can't wash all this stuff I told Sonia I would."

It's terrible, really. Which is why she just dumps the stuff on the sideboard and sits on Sokka's chest.

EW HE'S WET.

"Soon you can wash iOOF."

Sokka is Very Sad to have a Claire on his lap, no, really, and is grinning up at her.

She makes him happy.

"I'll help you. When I've fixed the tap." Wet hands, one still holding a screwdriver, slip around her waist.

"That's the Sokka I know and love," Claire says happily. She rests her hands on his sternum and grins down at him.

"Flooding the kitchen, wet to the skin, and already taking on new projects."

Sokka looks up at her for a minute, grinning all over his face.

Then he slides his hands up to her shoulders so that he can pull her down to kiss her.

Quite a lot, actually.

It's not that Claire objects to being pulled down into - OK, ew wet, yes she objects, just not very much. And by splashing his sides with dirty floor water - into a lot of kiss. Because she likes kissing and she likes Sokka, and ooooh he's a really good kisser, it's just...

OK, she can pull away from heart melting kisses just enough to look him in the eye, right?

"What?"

"Nothing."

Sokka beams at her.

"You're all wet."

"Yes," Claire agrees. Her knees slide back in the water, down his thighs, so she's lying on his chest, chin propped in her hands.

"That's because you flooded the kitchen."

Sokka grins proudly.

Then he remembers it's bad. "Yes, but I'm making it better," he promises earnestly, and kisses her nose. "...just for you."

Nose kisses are great. Claire even lowers her nose for him to reach. But then she kisses his mouth, biting his lip and pulling gently.

"And for the rest of the farm."

"Yes," Sokka agrees, "but they're not really as important as you."

So there.

"And right," Sokka informs her happily, running a hand through her hair gently. It's so pretty.

"Don't forget right."
