Sam has a shiny car, a full tank of gas, a backpack full of fresh notebooks and pens, and a trunk full of supplies.

Also, an apple.

He is quite happily leaning against his car, munching on an apple and waiting for Dean and his apparent harem to show up so they can get going.

Dean's harem hates him at the moment. Dean himself is more or less oblivious to this, singing along happily with Metallica as the Imp cruises up.

Sam gets a look. It's not mean, just appraising.

With a raised hand, half-wave from the blonde in the passenger seat.

That's all right. Half of Dean's harem hates Sam already anyway. He drops the apple into a hand and grins back at them, giving Jo a returned wave. "Hey, guys. Ready?"

He peers into the Impala, expecting to see two more and sees-- an empty backseat. "This everyone?"

"That's it," Dean confirms, beaming up at him. "Us and the books. You ridin' with us?"
