It is very lonely, and very boring, being a ghost.

The kitchen is cold again. There's water in the sink, even though almost everyone who uses the kitchen empties it when they're done; it's clear, clean, and rippling slightly in no wind at all. Occasionally a drop rises into the air and then splashes sadly back down.

It's probably too much to ask that there be Sprite somewhere in the place (even the magical cold-box), but it can't hurt to look.

"You're still here." It's blunt, but not unkind. Surprise, mostly.

"um. I guess it's all right... I mean, you ain't attackin' nobody." That she's heard. And she's paying rapt attention.

Hmm, yes, an unfortunate lack of Sprite in the fridge.

"You ever, um, talk to that guy? Your brother, right?"

Katara nods happily, all smiles.

"He didn't mean to run away and he doesn't hate me!"

"Oh! That's, um, that sounds good!" Right? (Sonia's parents never opted for another mini-Belmont, so she has no idea how this stuff is supposed to go.)

"So, you din't... uh, move on, or whatever?" Non-forcible ghost removal: not Sonia's forte.

"Nuh-uh, not yet. I will, I guess. One day. I just don't wanna."

This is a foreign point of view to Sonia. Granted, her general experience has been with ghosts that only want to stick around to kill things.

"Don't wanna?"

Katara looks stubborn and mulish.

"I don't have to if I don't wanna."

"I... guess not." She scratches her head. "Why wouldn't you?"

"Well ... why would I? My brother is here. My brother is both here."

"Yeah, but- ....huh?" Sonia has not yet noticed that particular aspect of this world.

"One of him is dating Claire and one of him is dating that other blonde girl, I think her name is Steph."

See, this totally makes things clearer.
