From the Great Hall of Hogwarts a small and quick bird flies down and almost hovers with darting motions.

Tiwa had been divebombing students outside Hunter and now she's here.

This doesn't feel like a prank but maybe it is. She zips and darts around, pecking at all the things she can find, seems almost of the Dreaming.

A bird!

Laura's afternoon schedule is now filled!

She crouches in the doorway, watching and waiting for the right chance to strike!

The Great Hall is big and Tiwa's found some crumbs of bread that she's eating as she looks around, ready to fly if anything comes out of the shadows.

Something does. Sneaking in a fairly competent manner, for a human child.

Though not quite undetectable. Especially given the rush of displaced air as she jumps.

Fantails catch flies and so Tiwa slips out from her hands and starts chirping loudly at her from just out of reach.

"Darn! Hold still!" She hops a bit, scrabbling at the bird.

"I'm not gonna hurt you!" Intentionally, anyway.

[pi_wakawaka]

She ducks behind the big table and the front and then a tomboyish girl perches on the table,

"What do you think you're doing? Not right chasing a poor innocent like that!"

The glare she's using is one she's been copying from her Mum, its not quite as good yet but still potent.

And there's an instant wall of suspicion behind the girl's face.

"What's it to you?" she demands, peering under the table for the bird. "I wasn't doing anything bad!"

"What were you going to do if you'd caught that poor bird then?"

[runawayalot]

She hadn't actually thought that far ahead.

"...pet it." That sounds good, yeah. She can't get in trouble for petting things!

(OK, she'd get scolded for them being crawling with germs if she got caught, but still.)

[pi_wakawaka]

She gets a headtilt at that, "How old are you?"

[runawayalot]

"Seven." It's too recent to add a half, as much as she'd like to. (Older is better!)

[pi_wakawaka]

"And where's your Mum then?"

She's not quite as ready to fly and is now just sitting on the table.

[runawayalot]

"I don't have one." She crosses her arms sullenly. HA! You can't tell on her! She knows that game!

Tiwa's got a lot whanau and so Laura gets another glare though its a bit nicer,

"So how'd you end up here then?"

[runawayalot]

"I walked." Duh!

[pi_wakawaka]

"You're a Yank too."

She knows lots of Americans, her brothers and cousins are always going to their parties or teaching them odd things.
