Went to that new bellydancing class Mon night. The teacher is a lot less experienced than the last one, but the fact that she's teaching tribal really has us interested. Tribal is much more spontaneous and has a lot of "cues" between the dancers - stuff isn't choreographed. The teacher (and her assistant) are also both very comfortable around people - we had several people in there who are really fat, really thin, from lots of different ethnic groups, some with an obvious limp, and people from mid-teens to post-retirement age.

There's some standing on tippytoe stuff that wasn't in any of the other kinds we've been exposed to. That'll cause us some problems (we've some bolts in one leg/ankle) but the teacher is fine if people "don't do anything your body says not to do - listen to your bodies" so we don't see problems from it.
