Mel's ankle was twisted, and her tailbone bruised. Now, neither is.
And... suddenly she has something on her mind that's distinctly not the dead man in front of her. Or even anyone else around her, although they'd probably help.
She stands up, dusting her pants down, and glances around, checking that everyone is OK. Except the dead guy.
Nearby, Sokka sits up from where he'd collapsed. He looks around, taking stock of the people there and the body of the dead guy. Mel is given a guarded nod, unsure, and he climbs to his feet to go and investigate the body.
A glint of metal near Badgie catches his attention. Apparently, the crazy man had decided to bring down a few toys from the tower Sokka and Mel had originally found him in. A few stolen toys.
Grinning in delight, Sokka walks over and plucks it free, holding the boomerang up for Mel to see.
Sokka takes a deep breath and slides the boomerang back into the sling on his back. The others waking up get a glance but Sokka isn't overly concerned about them. He doesn't understand what's happened - but not understanding weird things that happen is nothing new.
Still annoying, though.
All the same, he's back at Mel's side quickly, looking around them.
Leah is still reeling from the shock of actually killing someone when she's hit by a wave of - something. Her body suddenly shooting into puberty is one, but it's the memories that rush in just ahead that really hit her.

She knows it's going to happen a fraction of a second before it does, and looks up sharply, spinning on the spot.
By the time she's facing the direction Sam was in, she can't see anything.
A tiny young Samuel Winchester had still been holding onto Badgie when the shard of glass hit the man in the throat. Sam had all of half a minute to react - to uncovering the face, to seeing Leah's throw, to watching the blood and life of a human man drain away - before he had bigger problems.
'Crushed under a heavy adult body in a badger suit' sort of problems.
And then he had 'staying awake' problems.
He's only lost days, but when Sam wakes it feels like years have passed since he last saw the badger creature. With a grunt, he shoves the corpse off of himself and struggles up to his feet, looking for Dean and Jo and -
Leah.
And that's who he heads for first, slumped and looking horrified.
In the air, an eagle jerks hard, stutters, starts, and falls straight down to the ground.
The quick flare of wide wings is the only thing that saves her from completely faceplanting, but she remains an unconscious eagle while the others fall and start to stir around her.
Jo comes wide awake with a shuddered-snap on pavement, rolling up onto her feet, hand going to a knife in the back of her jeans, looking around with sharp, hard eyes before the scene (straggling people; right sizes; bodies and breathing; this apocalypse not that one) catches up to her.
Sam's back is walking away from a pile of bloody corpse as she's looking for where Dean fell, but her eyes land on the huge eagle laying still and she goes toward what can only be Rachel first.
Still too tight and still she dropped into a crouch next to it, not sure if she should touch. She tried to temper her voice, knowing it would only work so well with her heart still pounding. "Hey, Princess, this would be a good time to wake up."
....especially Jo had been pretty sure she usually reverted to girl-shape in most eventualities.
The eagle lies still, eyes closed and beak slightly open, wings stretched out wide and tail feathers splayed. But the chest rises and falls with steady breath.
Jo was uncertain, on the how and where, but when did that really ever stop her? She dropped to one knee and awkwardly shook the huge bird at what she hoped amounted to a shoulder-arm-thing.
"At least I grew out of that," Dean says, grinning up at her. "Shorty." It's affectionate, no malice or bite to it, and he gets to his feet slowly, yawning and stretching.
"Yeah, I'm good. You? -- Did we both get hit by a grizzly?"

"Never doubted it, bro."
It's just a throwaway word, but. She'd been so worried about her brother she couldn't think. Now, she's not.

Hears and recognises Sam's breath and footfall. Still, it's worth checking. she drops her hand and tilts her head.
"Sam?"

He doesn't pause in his steps and shortly, Sam is kneeling beside her, placing his hand carefully over hers in the dirt. "Are you okay?"

He checks that all the important parts of him are back (yes, pants first) and then sighs and flops back, staring at the sky in bemused regret.
"Man, when I was a kid, I thought I was really funny," he tells nobody in particular.

"And short, too. You all in one piece?"
At least he was the right age.
