Despite the pain of my broken heart
I found love once again
But for all that I have tried
Can I ever be more than reluctant friend?
Thinned patience wars with want
For as a pirate, I've the need to take
As agonizing as being away from the sea
I must be patient for both our sake.
I cannot compete with her family
Nor do I think I should try
Perhaps one day she may need me too
Until then I will be a loyal guide.
