If you have given up on Tamora Pierce because of those Circle quartets, think again. Trickster's Choice is wonderful. Not only does it make me heart beat faster with all of the cool references to George and Alanna and Daine, it also has a wonderful new set of characters, something I always thought was a bit lacking in the Keladry ones. Aly, Dove, Sarai, and Nawat are so rocksy (did I spell it right, Merry?) that I'm still thinking about them hours later, as opposed to those circle people, who were very much formula characters (I thought - don't kill me!). Except for the teachers. I always liked the teachers in those books more than the students.
So, yes. Thank you, sophina, for giving it to me. :D

EDIT: HAHAHAH! What Unitarian means.
