I want pot legalized. That would make massive revenue for the government as well as open up new legitimate and taxable jobs for cultivators and sellers. People like to argue that it "makes too much money as a crime" for it to be legal, but what the fuck are they talking about? That money made by crime is spent fighting the "crime" anyway, stressing out legal systems and prisons, our tax money is spent paying cops to arrest the very guys that way too many of us actually want to give money to! I say- less cops, more pot merchants :) And it could still be illegal to sell it without a license, making blackmarket sales of mass quantities a profitable "crime" while simultaneously opening streams of revenue through licensing, taxation on sales, and income taxes for legitimate jobs in the industry.
That said, I'm still not a huge fan of getting high these days, but it's sure nice sometimes if I'm in a comfortable environment, and I know other people love it and I thoroughly support that.

Is it sad to say that the major drug lords of the world would have to pay to have it legalized the same way other major industries pay for the "right" to pollute our water and air and soil and thus our bodies with the byproducts of their factories' manufacturing process... they'd have to make connections, make it an inside job, waive their millions and do all the lobbyist bullshit. Fuck the bailouts and the car industry- just legalize marijuana.
Why am I typing this? I should have gone to sleep two hours ago!
