II. Still here

I’m just winning uninteresting tags after every fight. It’s frustrating, but at least I’ve got enough to buy some decent clothes and clean sheets. An improvement, considering that I’ve seen people running around with bloodstained clothes on. Dried blood stinks, people. Badly. I can smell you from a mile away.

By the way, being a woman does not ( Read more... )

An overwhelming amount of Igura fighters are men, they do not expect to see women.

Blood scent makes tracking easier.

And when they see one, they go wild.

It gets irritating. I can't seem to get that smell off of me.

The Punishers are children, they should not underestimate anyone regardless of age and gender.

It never really goes away.

They should not, but they do. Anyway, I believe I taught them a lesson they'll remember.

I know. It's everywhere. I can smell it no matter where I am. Sometimes I wonder if it's just my imagination.

I believe human stupidity is part of why my kill rate has been so high.

Are you human? Or do you posess enhanced senses?

Well, good for you. At least you make the most of it.

I am human, and I don't have enhanced senses that I know of, which is why I'm thinking that perhaps it's all psychological. Are you? Human, that is.

I have actually been trying not to kill so much, it is difficult though.

I'm a mutant.

I haven't killed anybody yet. I'm determined not to do it unless it's strictly necessary.

A mutant? What makes you different from a human?

Reply

onlyaweapon March 3 2009, 22:03:35 UTC
It will be necessary.

True name homo superior, mutant is the commonly accepted term for an evolved human.

Time will tell.

And what makes homo superior different from homo sapiens? A second head? A power?

Varying powers and physical alterations.

That's interesting...

[Private to the Mutant]

In my world, there are people with special abilities. We don't call them 'mutants', but I've heard about evolved humans. I am one of them.

Mutants have existed for decades, it is theorised that they have been around even longer than that. The cause is a difference in DNA called the X-gene, resulting in powers or physical abnormalities that usually activate around puberty.

Perhaps the human population in your world is seeing its first mutants. What can you do?

People have had powers for decades, and it seems that it's all in our DNA- at least that's what a geneticist told me. He and his father had been doing some research, and found a way to locate the evolved humans. Normal people don't know about us and we're not a species per se. Some powers manifest during puberty, some during childhood… It depends on the person.

I am strong. Stronger than usual. What's your ability?

It sounds unlikely that our worlds are the same then. Or at least, not the same time period.

Accelerated healing, enhanced senses.

Yeah, I doubt they're the same. Does the name Chandra Suresh mean anything to you?

There's a girl in my world that heals. She is indestructible. Is it the same power? Are you mortal?
