Happy Birthday, Senga Kento!
Work is going to get busier when April comes around, but I'm trying not to think about it. /o\
Focus on Senga's birthday. I translated an article! It's not an article where they all have a crosstalk together, but it's still interesting, I think.
Translation. Split into two groups, the members talk about what they have been doing and episodes from those activities. Kitayama, Fujigaya, and Tamamori talked about KitaFuji Crea and guesting for HSJ's Yokohama concert and Kansai Juniors' Osaka concert. Yokoo, Senga, Nikaido, and Miyata talked about Kabuki and KitaFuji Crea too.

Kis-My-Ft2
This time, we had them talk, split into the three who appeared in Crea and a drama and the four who appeared in “Takizawa Kabuki”. It seems like either team are both looking forward to the tour that will start in July.
I can’t imagine the picture of him chattering like that (laughs)
Kitayama: For recent news of the three of us, Fujigaya and I did concerts at Theatre Crea...
Tamamori: And...I appeared in the drama “Shiawase ni Narou yo”.
Fujigaya: Also, there was that too! Kitayama and I went to Osaka as guests for Yuuma’s and Kansai Junior’s concerts, and Tama went to JUMP’s concerts at Yokohama Arena, and the two concerts were connected through a live broadcast. How was Yokohama?
Tamamori: Backstage, there were hundreds of small Juniors, so I didn’t quite have my own place (laughs). Since it couldn’t be helped, I was in the catering room, chattering and talking with staff members.
Fujigaya: “Chattering” is a lie, right? Right now, you exaggerated a bit, didn’t you? I can’t imagine the picture of Tama chattering with the staff like that (laughs).
Tamamori: Geez~ How exact! How was the west side team?
Kitayama: Since it was right before Crea, during break time, we planned our concerts together with the two of us. Also, what I felt was Kansai’s feelings of connections, or should I say they have the power of unity.
Fujigaya: They have many units.
Kitayama: Right, right. I still can’t remember all of their names, but for now, I know that 7WEST’s Kotaki is a good-looking guy (laughs).
Fujigaya: Right, right, he is really handsome, and it feels like he’d appear in a shoujo manga.
Tamamori: Heh~ Is that true? Is he in Wink Up?
Fujigaya: He is, he is (and flips through the pages of June’s issue)......ah, he’s sleeping (laughs).
Tamamori: I can’t tell from his sleeping face (laughs)!
Kitayama: Well~ He’s slim and has a well proportioned body, and on top of that, he’s manly.
Tamamori: You’re really praising him. Wow, I’m curious.
Kitayama: Also, for me, Maashii (Itou Masashi) was amazing. That power to attract people, it’s seriously nice~
For us, there’s no such feeling as having fun though (laughs)
Tamamori: I know his name and face, but I’ve never spoken to him before.
Kitayama: I’ve never done so before either, but I listened to him talk on stage and apparently he’s older than me and a senpai. Unconsciously, I ended up going, “Good morning!” and bowed my head, greeting him (laughs). He’s in a unit called Veteran, and when I heard about their stories from the past, they really are veterans (laughs).
Fujigaya: Also, in Kansai, there are groups like Shadow WEST too.
Tamamori: You’re saying it with such a smug face, but I saw the broadcasting footage at Yokohama too, so I know (laughs).
Fujigaya: Hahaha. This time though, we honestly received motivation, thinking, “We can’t lose to them”.
Kitayama: Things like Kiriyama’s MC was amazing.
Fujigaya: This time, the three of us who were split in the east and west sang “Fire Beat”, right? When the two of us were singing together, what were you doing, Tama?
Tamamori: I moved to the rhythm normally. JUMP were with me too, so I wasn’t alone. Even if I try to look cool on my own, since I’m not singing, I don’t look cool at all (laughs).
Kitayama: I heard it from the staff just now, but JUMP members all had fun with “Fire Beat”...is what they said apparently.
Tamamori: Ah~ They said that. That “spinning our heads was really fun!”
Fujigaya: Heh, I see. For us, there’s no such feeling as having fun though (laughs)
Tamamori: That’s true. The other day, I went to your Crea Concerts, right? I was watching on the monitors and it was really refreshing. I also thought the contents were “like the two of you”. The sounds were like the present too.
Shall we have one day? A day where “Tama will manage today’s MC”
Kitayama: Oh, thank you. Also, this time, a schema of...when Fujigay and I interact closely, the audience are delighted. I wonder what on earth is that (laughs).
Tamamori: Since it’s the two of you who don’t seem to do that normally, I think fans get happy. Even if the other four see it, they won’t feel any discomfort either.
Fujigaya: That’s definitely a lie (laughs). If the five of you watched us from the wings...when I think of that, I can imagine the picture of “the five making eye contact without saying anything” (laughs). At first, Tama and Nika would make eye contact, and then Nika would look over at everyone’s eyes... Then, Miyata would watch with a pleasant expression. That’s because that guy is elderly (laughs). I can imagine it up to this point.
Kitayama: So you can see it that clearly (laughs). But well, it’ll probably be something like that (laughs). Also, we also had Tama take part in the MC, but you barely spoke!
Tamamori: That’s because it’s the long-awaited concerts for the two of you, so I’m just a hinderance.
Fujigaya: That’s you being too negative (laughs). That means I can take this statement of yours as lead up to meaning, “I’ll talk lots because the next KisuMai concert will be home for me” (laughs).
Tamamori: Like I said, I’m not the type of person to talk lots! Even if I did that, members, the audience, and the staff members would think, “Something is not right” (laughs).
Kitayama: You won’t know until you try it. Shall we have one day? A day where “Tama will manage today’s MC”.
Fujigaya: That’s nice, that’s nice. Let’s do that.
Tamamori: Okay, let’s move on to the next topic.
Fujigaya: I would like to do that, but it seems like it’s almost time (laughs). Tama, do you have any desire for a solo concert?
Tamamori: Ehh~ I wonder......it’s still too early for that right now. Right now, the seven of us together is good. That’s why I’m looking forward to the national tour starting in July now.
Kitayama: That’s right. I thought it was still something that’s coming up in a bit, but it’ll be in a blink of time probably. From this spring to early summer, each member went to different places and gained power, so when all members have gathered, I want to show the growth of our powers.
Fujigaya: Right, right. Then keeping that same vigour, it’s finally CD debut! While letting out our powers, let’s brace our feelings together!
Together: Yea!
I’ve reached the state of mind where I can think the atmosphere after bombing a joke is “fun”
Yokoo: “Takizawa Kabuki” which the four of us have taken part in has ended without any trouble. Many things happened during the adlib scene Nika did with Takizawa-kun this time.
Nikaido: The biggest failure was for the part where I talk to a member of the audience, I mistook a female...for a male!
Miyata: That’s a big happening.
Nikaido: Let me explain! The audience area was dark and not to mention the lighting was backlight. Also, that person was really dressed masculinely. I said to her, “Well then, this man over here...” and for the first time, the spotlight focused on that person. There, my mind went blank... I don’t know if she’s reading this, but if she is, I’m really sorry!
Miyata: But you’re amazing, to be able to do that corner. At the beginning, Nika was worrying and going, “What to do, what to do,” so Senga and I thought up some gags for him. But...not a single one was accepted (laughs).
Senga: Yea, Nikaido is surprisingly strict with these things (laughs). Ah, but let me say this; mine was accepted once.
Miyata: Ugh, it’s just me then... Also, Senga bombed the muchaburi corner and was feeling down. [Note: Muchaburi is an act where someone is suddenly told/forced to do something, often ridiculous, trying to receive laughter in response.]
Senga: At first, I was seriously feeling down. Starting somewhere from the middle though, I’ve reached the state of mind where I can think the atmosphere after bombing a joke is “fun” (laughs).
Nikaido: Before Senga is 4U’s Matsuzaki-kun. At that point, the hurdle has been raised pretty high (laughs). So, “Senga who brings even greater laughter”, exactly as it says, there’s nothing else but muchaburi.
Senga: There was “Senga who shows his quick gag with all his might” as well (laughs).
Yokoo: I saw Senga who was feeling down ask Nika, “My tension always goes up with the last part of Nika’s acting, so please work especially hard today” (laughs).
Senga: That’s right. I always watch the scene where Nikaido dies from the wings. I go, “Uuh~ Here it comes, here it comes!” and my feelings, from being moved, elevate and then I’d go out onto the stage.
Nikaido: Ah, thank you. In that stage show, what was difficult for me wasn’t the amount of lines I had or the sword fighting or acting, but that “muchaburi” (laughs).
Yokoo: I basically bomb it a lot too (laughs).
Senga: I didn’t realize when it was my own turn, but it’s that painful to watch other people bomb it...that’s what I thought watching Yokoo-san (laughs).
That was good. The one which appears once every two years finally appeared there (laughs)
Yokoo: Seriously, midway, it wasn’t about whether or not the audience would laugh, but when I did it with all my might and turn around, seeing the faces of all our co-actors with the expression of “You’ve done well” was my salvation (laughs). When I turned to look at Nika, there was one day where Nika gave me a thumbs-up, and that made me happy.
Miyata: For one time near the end, a really good one came out. As a short gag, it was one that was established as getting 100 points (laughs).
Nikaido: Yea, that was good. The one which appears once every two years finally appeared there (laughs).
Miyata: It was just me who didn’t do that “muchaburi” this time.
Yokoo: Miyacchi, you had your standard corner “Miyagee”, so you didn’t do that part. There was one time you were given one though, right?
Nikaido: Right. But he was too happy......that it was a completely fruitless effort (laughs). Miyacchi was cute backstage. He asked me, “Ne, Nika...is muchaburi fun?” I thought it included the meaning of, “It’s hard, right?”. When I answered, “Un, it’s fun”, he said, “(in a small voice so he was whispering) I want~ to do it too~” (laughs).
Miyata: I was being seriously. I wanted to get a muchaburi so badly to the point that I thought it was fine to get rid of my own corner...and went to consult the staff members about it. “No, without that corner of Miyata’s, it would turn all messy and not work out”, and got a NG for it (laughs).
Senga: Despite that, when he does get a muchaburi, it was a fruitless effort (laughs). I witnessed the most epic way of completely bombing a joke.
Miyata: I couldn’t get the tension off my shoulders (laughs). Also, the four of us went to watch Fujigaya and Kitayama’s concert at Crea.
Senga: We did. Since normally, we can’t watch objectively like that, it was refreshing, and I was moved by the show which was like the two of them, having an aura of glamour.
Nikaido: I know!
Yokoo: I thought, “I want to see something like this with NikaSen”.
Senga: That’s nice! I want to try doing that too! I have interest in seeing how far can we go with just the two of us. I want to see pairings like “NikaMiya” too, and we can have various combinations.
Nikaido: When I see something like that, I really want to do concerts. We also went up on stage at the end and everyone’s tension was really high.
Senga: Right, right. While watching, I felt my body starting to itch.
Nikaido: Just that the MC was so boring to the point that I felt like I was going to black out (laughs).
Miyata: That’s because we went having been trained a lot from “Takizawa Kabuki” (laughs).
Nikaido: I thought, “I see...they’re going to be cool people here” (laughs). If you like, tease Gaya, he’d be a funnier person~
Senga: (with a smug look) We are necessary members after all. They also realized how we’re necessary. Teasing us has value to it!
Of course there’s singing and dancing, but I’m looking forward to doing MC with the seven of us!
Yokoo: Right, right, it seemed like Tama went to JUMP’s concert as a guest and they sang “Fire Beat” together, and JUMP said that was really fun.
Senga: Heh, is that so? Why?
Yokoo: It seems like it was fun spinning their heads (laughs).
Miyata: That choreography really has impact. I get told that a lot by people around me too.
Senga: When we first saw that choreography though, we had a reaction that was like, “Eh, are we really doing this? It’s like heavy metal” (laughs).
Yokoo: That part was tough in reality.
Senga: Right. Not to mention at the beginning, we were told by the choreographer, “Spin more and harder~!”, and it was like club activities (laughs).
Yokoo: Right, right. Since everyone spun with all their might, the next day, our necks hurt (laughs). Now we know the trick to it though.
Senga: (while actually doing it) In my case, I drop my right shoulder a bit and I do it like my head hits down there and comes back. In other words, it’s like a vertical ecllipse.
Miyata: I did it “with readiness that my head will come off” (laughs).
Senga: Right, that’s the thing in the end. No matter what you do, it feels like it’ll come off (laughs).
Nikaido: It’s “THE centrifugal force” for me (laughs).
Yokoo: ...and we tried giving advice, but how will this be useful (laughs).
Senga: That’s true (laughs). Really though, I want to go up on the stage with the seven of us soon. I’m really looking forward to the tour starting! Of course there’s singing and dancing, but I’m looking forward to doing MC with the seven of us!
Nikaido: Yea. If we’re there, at least I think we won’t make people black out (laughs).
Yokoo: Hahaha. People who are coming to see the tour that starts in July, please check out the way each member spins his head too (laughs).
I believe this is my fifth full article translation of the year! I have reached my goal of the year and March isn't even over yet. \o/ That means I can move the number from five...to maybe ten? Little by little~
Also, this happens to be my 200th translation post! Timely~
Hope people enjoyed this~
