Taisuke didn't realize how awkward it would be. More like, he had never expected Yamashita to be there when Koki invited him to dinner. He froze on the spot when he saw the other sitting at the table, but with Yamashita and Koki both being his senpai, he couldn't just walk away, making some excuse either.
Koki being there really helped made the atmosphere and situation bearable, but when the other excused himself to use the washroom, things became really awkward. Taisuke couldn't meet Yamashita's eyes at all. After that special drama, they didn't have a lot of chances working together, so it was easy to avoid being alone with the other. No one really noticed anything because they weren't really that close in the first place.
The period in Kyoto, where they both had long hours of filming and then going back to a place that wasn't home for the night made them felt a lot of things, which Taisuke considered probably wasn't what they would have normally felt. Taisuke himself had been troubled over some things as well which was the reason at that time, he felt it was okay to accept Yamashita, even though they both knew it wouldn't last for long.
As expected, they didn't end well either, and haven't talked to each other properly since then. Taisuke couldn't help but wonder if Koki knew about this and created this opportunity on purpose or not.
Just when Taisuke was trying to decide what to say, his cellphone vibrated with an incoming mail. He quickly flipped open his cellphone and read the mail, a soft, sweet smile appearing on his face as he did. He wrote a reply and sent it, only to find Yamashita staring at him when he looked up.
"...Yamashita-kun?"
"You...you're happy now, Fujigaya?"
Taisuke blinked. It took him a moment before realizing what Yamashita was doing. He gave the other a smile and nodded, "I'm happy now." He paused. "You?"
Yamashita nodded as well. "Yea...I'm happy."
When they shared a smile, the awkwardness seemed to have disappeared and while the atmosphere still wasn't the best, it was a bit more relaxing.
Neither of them answered when Koki came back and asked what they were smiling about. It was just between them. No one else had to know.
Author's Notes: After Byakkotai ficlet yesterday, I felt like some PiSuke, but considering they rarely interact lately...it somehow became like that. ^^;;
My little project seems to be going pretty well, considering I don't plan out what I write ahead of time, and just see what I feel like writing when I decide to start writing for the day. Anyways, don't have much to say.
