J-Drama
For the whole March Break (well, most of it) I've been watching..................J-Dramas!!!! ^^
At first, I downloaded Mini Moni de - Bremen no Ongakutai because Yuuyan was in it. =D That was like one of the very first J-dramas I actually downloaded...though it did sit in my computer for a while before I actually started watching. ^^;; Then it was Rocket Boys...also because of Yuuyan. XD It also sat in my computer until it accumulated to the 5 episodes available...=P Soon, I started downloading Kimi wa Petto, because 1) I watched a streaming version of Episode 1, might as well finish the whole series, 2) I have the first volume of the manga, read the next few volumes...interested in the drama version of the story... That's about it. The weird thing is...a lot of people have been criticizing the series, listing it as one of their worst J-drama watched...I haven't finished the whole series, but I don't see why. -____-;; It's true that the plot itself might be disturbing...and Koyuki isn't really pretty when the character she plays is suppose to be...and Matsumoto Jun just doesn't quite fit the character he's playing (the combination of his eyebrows and hairstye...-______-;;)...but I kinda like the series? For the first two episodes I've watched...lol.
Newayz...and now, I'm on a Kindaichi craze. I've loved this series ever since I watched when I was younger...like 8 or 9? (Can you imagine a little kid watching Kindaichi Shounen no Jikenbo, full of murders and blood at midnight? I did that...^^;;) Well, I managed to find the 2005 TV Special version of Kindaichi with Kame as Kindaichi!!! ^^ So I downloaded that, and actually watched it the moment it finished...rofl. (Gosh...vampires at 2:00am...><'') Kame is extremely cool in the special (for some reason, I love when he said "Kaneda Wan Wan"...//cracks up//)...but he's definitely different from the actual manga/series' character he's based on. First of all, he looks too cool XD, Kindaichi isn't actually that cool-looking. His personality is diffrent as well. While Kame still flirts with girls like Kindaichi is supposed to...he lacks the confidence, maybe? In 2005 version, Kame's Kindaichi isn't confident about his skills at all...and doesn't it like when people compare him to his grandfather, the famous Kindaichi Kousuke, also detective. In the actual manga, Kindaichi is much more confident, and always say he'll solve the case to protect his grandfather's name/reputation. ^^ Of course, the 2005 version isn't supposed to be linked with other TV series version since he actually didn't have connection with the police through Kenmochi, the policeman he worked with lots of time throughout the manga. The Miyuki in 2005 version doesn't quite match up to Tomosaka Rie's Miyuki either...or maybe I'm just biased. Lol. Maa...though I suppose comparing the 2005 version to the version I first saw (which was season 1 and 2 of Kindaichi) would be like comparing apples and oranges. =P
Then I found Season 3 of Kindaichi Shounen no Jikenbo! Also went crazy when found it. =P Except it wasn't done by the cast I'm used to...instead it's a whole new cast. //pouts// Drumroll please...Matsumoto Jun desu! Yup...it's him again...he's like starting to plague my J-drama collection (since Wendy told me to watch Hana Yori Dango...and he's in it as well...^^;;) Newayz...the first good thing about Matsumoto Jun...he actually looks like Kindaichi in the manga! It's thick eyebrows...I swear. Second, his acting skills are quite good...^^ One of the main problems though there isn't much chemistry between his Kindaichi and the Miyuki in season 3...who's done by...eto...forgot her name...^^;; Suzuki...something??? They just can't compare to the chemistry between Doumoto Tsuyoshi //fangirls// and Tomosaka Rie.
I really want to own the first two seasons...even though I've watched most of it already. Doumoto Tsuyoshi is THE Kindaichi Hajime and Tomosaka Rie is like THE Nanase Miyuki. Too bad the torrents to download the first few episodes of season 1 are like dead...><'' Oh, and the first two seasons have the best Kenmochi as well...!! (The sad thing is...the actor died already...=( )
Ooh...and something good that happened today! I found Kindaichi Shounen no Jikenbo manga to buy!!!!!!!! (See what I mean by craze? XD) $0.50/book...//dies// The bad thing is they had only random volumes...I still bought 8 books though! Another bad thing was they don't have the colourful cover...only the monochromatic inside cover of manga...><'' Oh well, better than nothing. I already read the whole series since my gor gor had them (but he just had to give them away...argh!)...so I still remember most of the cases, therefore if I don't have part of the case, I can still remember things. Watching the TV series also help, since it's based on either the manga or the novel version (which had different cases). I should find my tape of Kindaichi (Chinese dubbed) from like years ago and watch it again. XD

It's not officially March 20th yet...but it is already over in Japan! Roughly 1:20pm...so Yuuyan is definitely 19 already!!!!!!!!! Gah...must finish my birthday batch of icons for Yuuyan! Nya!
And it's nearly KENN's birthday too!!!!!!!!! //squees// March 24th!!! Ahh!!!! Must do something...KENN icons?? XD I don't have a lot of image sources though...//pouts// Must make screencaps from his DVD! =D
AND!!!!!!! Yanagi, the Ichinen Trio...and all Seigaku regulars 'cept for Aiba is graduating after Dream Live 3rd!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh my gosh, I'm going to hide in a corner and sulk and cry now!!!!!!!!!!!! Can't they like do one more musicial before graduating???? The old cast did like 5 musicials including their graduation one! The new cast only did 4, Dream Live 3rd included! (Okay, fine 5, if you count winter Hyotei) Gah...and why is only Aiba left? Why the hell are all the D-Boys graduating?????!!!!! Ah...!!!! Tell them to bring Yuuyan back!!!!!! ....Oh wait...they already decided on the new Ryoma...//sulks// Cinepuri's Ibu Shinji...will be TeniMyu's Echizen Ryoma...I'm going to take a long while to digest that... And the Ichinen Trio!!!!!!!!! I can't imagine anyone else being them!!!!!!! Ishibashi Yuusuke!!!!!!! I'll miss you! //cries//
