Sand Between Your Toes

"Ah, it feels good~"
Yamashita just grinned as he watched Taisuke run towards the water, his arms spread out to feel the ocean wind. It was one of the rare days where he had nothing to do for more than just a few hours, and since their schedules had matched up, he brought Taisuke to the seaside to enjoy the good weather.
Considering how much he loved the seaside, Yamashita felt satisfied to just stand there, arms crossed over his chest and watch Taisuke run around the empty beach, enjoying himself.
When Taisuke suddenly crouched down and seemed to be drawing something in the sand, Yamashita walked towards the other slowly and asked, "What are you doing?"
Taisuke looked up at Yamashita with a bright smile. "Writing my name!" He looked back down and dragged the stick he found through the sand.
Yamashita chuckled and continued to watch the other. When Taisuke started drawing hearts in the sand as well, he decided he needs to take photos of this because it was too good to pass up. He fished out his cellphone and had to walk around Taisuke a few times to try to find the perfect angle to make sure all of Taisuke's doodling was on the screen.
Taisuke was too concentrated on adding to his lovely sand picture to pay attention to what Yamashita was doing. After a few more minutes, he placed down his stick with a satisfied smile. "Yosh!"
"Let's see?" Yamashita said with a small laugh. He offered Taisuke his hand - the other's legs might be getting numb - and helped the other up first before looking at the sand picture.
Having written his full name in kanji on the sand, Taisuke had surrounded his name with various sizes of hearts and stars, along with a few smiley faces here and there. Yamashita bit back a grin. He wasn't sure if he should call Taisuke's picture girly or kiddish. Maybe both.
"...are you laughing at me?" Taisuke pouted at Yamashita.
"I'm," Yamashita choked back some laughter, "I'm not laughing at you, Taisuke. I swear." He picked up the stick and started to write his name beside Taisuke's sand picture. "See? I'm writing my own name too." He made sure he added a few hearts and stars as well.
Taisuke just wrinkled his nose.
Snickering, Yamashita just finished drawing before taking a picture of their artwork. "Come on, let's go closer to the water." He grabbed Taisuke's hand and tugged him closer to the incoming waves. "Want to try going in the water?" He grinned at Taisuke.
The younger one immediately yelped. "No! I don't want to get wet!"
"Aww, come on~ Just your feet?" Yamashita kicked Taisuke's shoes, as if trying to get them off.
"Noooo!" Taisuke flung off Yamashita's hand and started to run away.
"Oi! What's wrong with getting your feet anyways?" Yamashita chuckled and just watched Taisuke run off. Sometimes, it was fun without needing to run after the other.
Taisuke made a face. "I don't mind...it's just the sand..."
Yamashita ended up laughing out loud. "Fine, fine, no getting wet." He reached out for Taisuke's hand. "Let's just walk around then?"
Huffing for a second, Taisuke relaxed again though and took Yamashita's hand. "Fine..."
"Well, we have to enjoy the seaside, right?" Yamashita said with a smile. "Can't let the day go to waste."
"I know..." Taisuke mumbled, and soon, they were strolling down the beach, hand in hand, just enjoying the ocean wind and the sound of the waves.
Yamashita decided to start some light conversation. "What do you want for your birthday?"
"Eh?" Taisuke blinked and looked at Yamashita. "I...don't know." He wrinkled his nose and tilted his head for a second. "I bought a lot of clothes lately already..."
"Does that mean I can choose your present then? Anything I want?"
Taisuke gave Yamashita a wary look. "...not really? I'm scared of what you might come up with."
"Aww, Taisuke, trust me some more!"
"...no."
"I'll throw you into the water!"
Taisuke squealed. "Stop threatening me!"
Yamashita grinned. "It's so much fun though, Tai-chan~"
"Not fun for me!" Taisuke made a face and tried to fling Yamashita's hand away.
Yamashita paused for a moment before chuckling, "Fine, fine. I'll think about your present properly."
"You better~"
"Hai, hai," Yamashita said before pressing a light kiss on Taisuke's forehead. "Look forward to it then, okay?"
Taisuke gave him the sweetest smile ever. "Un!"
Author's Notes: I don't have much to say right now, mainly because I think I have a headache. At the beginning, I didn't plan to write Taisuke with Yamapi because I was trying to write Taisuke fanboying Sho, but I just couldn't write a single of word of Sho's point of view, so I changed Sho to Yamapi instead, and it turned out to be this. I'm sorry if there's too much fluff.
I still have ficlets to finish for this countdown. I'm not done, damn it. I hope I finish in time.
