OH. MY. GOD. LAST NIGHT. WAS SO. AMAZING. (emphasis on amazing)
holy crap. it was awesome. we were runnin late, we got there around 6;30 and the doors had opened at 6, and we got there, got searched for stuff that wasnt allowed, got the x's on our hands that said we werent allowed to drink, then we went to the stage and stood there for a while, and tried to edge ourselves closer to the barrier.
Days Away came on at 7. It was so awesome, the lead singer was wayyyy hot. this guy was behind me and like had his hands on my hips and was pressed up against me. not to..er..comfortable. but anyways, i took about 6 pictures of the lead singer cuz he was mad hot and had an awesome voice. i didnt know any of their songs, but yeah, im def. gonna get their cd. <3
Next, Mae came on. the lead singer kept making eye contact with me, it was nice, by that time, we had been pushed up so far, we were 3 people behind the barrier..it was nice..i took a few pictures of the lead singer and the guitarist. They started out with "this is the last time" it was so awesome..thats the only song i know of theirs, though. There were people jumping all around me..it hurt..i had elbows in my back and on my neck..it was quite annoying, but hey, ya gotta deal.
Then RX Bandits came on, and EVERYONE pushses forward the hardest the have all night, and this bitch reaches her arm across my throat as an attempt to get in front of me. whaaa. I think not. i put up a good fight, she never got in front of me, eventually she just moved somewhere else. they put on a really really good show. at first i didnt think i would like them, but i did. they were awesome. one of the best ska bands ive seen. <3. I was behind the guy that had been behind me earlier, and this huge fat guy was behind me pushing me into him, and i couldnt breathe, so i was hanging onto the dude in front of me and i just passed out on his shoulderblade..i dunno how long for, i think it was just a few seconds, when i came to, everyone was like shaking me and yelling my name. that was kinda scary. but yeah. they were really good.
then there was like a 15 minute setup for SoCo, and they brought out the piano and everyone started freaking out. it was so awesome..everyone pushed to the left, and everyone fell and i got up to where there was one person between myself and the barrier..me and natalie had been long seperated. so then they walk out, and everyone pushes really hard. they opened with "i woke up in a car" then played
Punk Rock Princess
one of their new songs that i dont know
she paints me blue
i kissed a drunk girl
another new song
globes and maps
if you see jordan
konstantine
space
another new song
hurricane
they finished with hurricane..itw as so awesome..during one of their new songs, andrew came down off the stage and had one foot on the support and one foot on the barrier right in front of me, and i grabbed his jeans, his leg, and then i reached up as high as my wee little arm could go, and he grabbed onto my hand and held onto it for like 20 seconds. it was so nice <3 oh man, i was flippin out :)
During Globes and Maps, i got so hot and sick-feeling that i had to get out of the crowd. I felt bad for leaving natalie there, but if i had stayed any longer i would pass out, so i found my mom, talked to her about the concert a little bit, and then got some water, and watched the rest of the show. then i went in and got natalie and it took us forever to get out but we made it, and then we went home and got some wendys on the way. mm. what a great ending to a perfect night <3
well yes, thats my concert story. pretty damn nice for my first show. next, is yellowcard! hopefully <3
the end.
