The first time Derek comes through Stiles’ window is when he is a fugitive, with all county police on his back and he needs a place to hide. The second time is even more frantic, with hunters after him and another wolfsbane bullet stuck in his body. On the third time, there’s no pursuit, no lethal wounds, no heroic life saving. Instead, there’s a fist clenched in Stiles’ t-shirt, desktop digging in his back and stubble scratching across his chin. Stiles has never really believed in that ‘third time’s the charm’ saying, but he’s willing to give it a try.
