4 days till April, the waiting game for those stupid (but coincidentally lovely) college letters to arrive really begins now.
One week, one week. No scholarships for me. One week, one week.
::rocks back and forth in fetal position chanting "One week"::
Damn you month of March, just be done already. I am sick of you...Be GONE!
Figured out how I'm going to do my hair for the prom here. It's a much more informal prom so I am just going to do my hair myself (I'm gonna put a flower in me hair), and save the pretty professional updo for TG's prom. I can't wait, it'll be so much fun!
Also, went to Fred Meyer's with my Gram today and got my jewelry for the prom. Pretty black necklace and earrings to go with my red and black dress. How gorgeous it shall be.
On a sad note, I will not be comming back out to Rhode Island this summer after my prom appearance. Sad but true, I know. I do not have the adequate funding for another excursion. Especially since I must get myself a job, which may end up being camp again, and this fall I will have to pay for tuition, books, and lodgings via student loans.
Hopefully I will get some scholarships. ::knocks on wood:: But I have realized the reality of the situation, and the fact that I may get nothing...nada...zip, zero, zilch.
FAFSA hear my cries!

Did learn new, fun, and interesting facts today though:
My great-grandmother, my Gram's mom, had a pet chicken named Penny, and a pet alligator when she was a kid.
The chicken her parents butchered and she was always convinced that they ate it for dinner one night. eww ::tear::
And the alligator lived in the bird bath. Then one night the water froze, and when my great-grandmother's dad dumped out the water, the alligator fell out and broke in half.
True story, no lie, how sad. I feel bad for that alligator, what a way to go.
My big question however, is how did she get an alligator when she lived in Massachusetts. Hmmm
