I am appalled...and a little ticked.
Modern Marvels is on History Channel as I sit and type. They're doing a show Sugar. And on how Ethanol is made from sugar and how Brazil has virtually switched over to using it as the primary source of fuel for cars. To fill up a car that usually takes $40 in gas takes less than half that in ethanol. Okay...cool, I'm thinking...we've got to get in on this, like NOW!
So then they say that it's doing soooo well in Brazil that the American Congress has signed a bill in 2005 to double the production of ethanol. Cool! right?! Double the production by 2112! 2112!
ONE HUNDRED AND 6 YEARS. Brazil has been doing this shit since 1973. But you know...it doesn't make the people that have the money rich.
BAH! I'm so disgusted I can't think straight...
