A wild update appears!

Well, not so wild as it comes with purpose!

Last Saturday Zach and I celebrated our first anniversary. It really doesn't feel like a year. Things have gone by fast, it feels like maybe 6 at most o_o But either way, I remember the day well - the quiet and simple ceremony, the delicious chowder at the dinner, driving away from the dinner and feeling ever so free, seeing Iron Man 3 with my husband and my hair and makeup still done. Our Honeymoon was also wonderful - Universal Studios for the first time, seeing Thrilling Adventure Hour and meeting the cast, spending two days at Disneyland and a day in Little Tokyo in LA. A year from today was our Open House and there was so much love in that room. It was a very long and tiring day, but still so much fun.

We tried to recreate our Honeymoon as best we could. I took the day off on Friday and we went to Six Flags. Zach's grandma's health had taken an ugly turn, so our thoughts lingered on her a bit. Zach had (still is) fighting eustachian tube dysfunction that came with an ear infection that didn't quite heal 18 months ago, so riding the roller coasters didn't really help with that pain. Big Texas was sooooo amazing *_* And then after riding The Titan, we were both kind of @_@ We walked around a bit and rode The Batman and he called it a day and I rode a few by myself before the park closed. Came home and watched Odd Thomas. And then we did get news that his grandma did pass away.

And then Saturday we spent doing Free Comic Book Day and it was glorious; being in Texas means SHOPS EVERYWHERE! We hit up six different ones and made out with 30 of the titles all together. Then we went to Japan House since I wanted lots of sushi and Japanese food, but unfortunately I wasn't very impressed for the price that was paid. Our service was great and so was the atmosphere, but I was hoping for a higher quality buffet. At least there was a hotpot. Came home from that and watched the premier of Attack on Titan dub and all of our other Toonami shows that followed. We're so nerdy, guys. I apologize for nothing.

Zach's dad flew him out to the funeral on Wednesday and just got back yesterday afternoon. I wish I could have gone, but we are going to be in Utah this next week and I can't take more time off. But speaking of which... High possibility of getting in Thursday morning other than Friday morning because Zach and/or Priceline goofed. Fortunately Raye is okay with me taking an unexpected day off if we can't change it (which at this point, we probs won't). SO, more time in Utah to hang with peeps. Possibly Thursday and Friday evenings after work hours for y'all?

In other news, I've been working on an art project and I'm almost done with all the sketches o/! Then it will be onto the inkings (and I just bought some new pens - should be here on Monday) and colorings!!

family, anniversary
