This weekend turned out fairly busy. It's great having Zach in my life cause he always wants to get out and do SOMETHING. If it weren't for him... I'd probably have sat on my butt and did nothing.
Although, the original plans was to go to Idaho to visit Vern and Jenny for the blessing of Reef, but her dad was admitted into the hospital for some pancreatic aliment. Steven and Camron still went just to hang out with Vern and they had their hearts set on the trip since forever, while I've been less enthused.
Ended up having work on Friday (yay monies!). I chilled at the mall for a little bit reading an ARC from work, then went over to Zach's for dinner. He made us roast and it was really yummy and sweet of him to do. Watched Batman Brave and the Bold and Young Justice. Then we decided to go for a walk on Center street in Provo as there was so much going on. There was a free concert on a parking garage that we dropped in for for a bit and got a shake across the street. Walked through the Latino Festival and went into the Bollywood store. Came back to his apartment and watched some Doctor Who.
Saturday we drove up to Swiss Days and were disappointed at the lack of Swiss-ness. We did get to purchase some Swiss food, but the booths they had up there was just normal stuff you'd see at a state fair. Not even a booth with clocks or dolls :/ Walked and walked forever. Then drove over to check out the Sheep Dog Fest and discovered nothing was happening that point. Stopped by Timpanogos Storytelling Festival on our way out and purchased tickets for the comedy night later and will try to remember to do the Storytelling Festival next year. (There's so many things going on Labor Day weekend it's not even funny @_@) Ate at a Greek place for Kabobs then headed over to the outdoor amphitheater for the comedy night. It was hilarious! Storytellers, dunno if I'd call them comedians, from all around the country are flown in and tell hilarious stories. My favorite was probably the lady that worked at a restaurant in New York and told about the craziest day of her job. And the awesome Chinese guy the told a tale with his wooden fan. Then there was the mime from Maine! After that ended we went and got yogurt at Menchie's.
Sunday was a pretty typical Sunday - church, lazy, AnE & Ouran watchings. It was Dad's birthday celebration, so we sang, had cake and ice cream and had steak for dinner. Then watched Tangled.
Yesterday I spent the day sketching and watching Doctor Who (now into David Tennant seasons). We left the house after dinner to check out Onion Days in Payson and walked around the carnival and booths. Came back and watched more Who and made cookies.
Stuffed animals. Probably part of Naomi's collection or something.
Crappy drawing, ftw. Attempting to do another Black Balloon/DA ID and wasn't feeling it. At all.
Concept art for a drawing I want to do for possibly my art school's submissions.
Attempted to draw Johnny... fail. And more or less turned out gesture-y.
Naomi sketches with stuffed animals.
/sketchdump. I have several fantastic artists on Tumblr and it really makes me want to draw more/go into other styles. Going to try at least.
