Left work after 4pm and picked up Jess and went to Chili's for an early dinner. Drove up to Kingsbury Hall which didn't take very long and was nice. We got in our seats a little after 7pm. Although nosebleed seats (again) it wasn't really that bad. I was closer to the stage than I was for Coldplay and their nosebleed seats :D

The opening bands were Helio Sequence and Mat Kearney. Helio was really nice. Just a guy and his guitar and a drummer. Really nice sounds. I'm so used to not having well-known bands to open, so it was a lovely surprise for Mat Kearney to be there. I may just have to buy their newest album >.> But I did what I vowed I would stop doing: I get tired of having to wait two hours to see the band I came for, and I said I would come like an hour and a half later... ah well, opening bands were good. Why did Coldplay's suck so bad? Anyway...

Really cool light shows and effects through all of the songs~ They played a fair amount of songs from all of their albums. OMG, I STILL LOVE BRITISH ACCENTS! Tom <3 Tim <3 Rich <3 They are all so adorable, even in their very girly pants... I was laughing a majority of the time at the pianist, Tim. I've never seen anybody rock out on the piano o.o It was highly amusing and I feared for the keyboard's life that he would trip and fall over it XD And Tom, the vocalist did a march in place through most of the songs. Also amusing. And I guess they came to SLC 4 years ago. I didn't know who they were then, but he promised to not take that long to come back again >3 BRITISH ACCENT OF YUM! ADORABLE BRITS <3

Here's all the songs they played by order, and I will mosdef be making a mix/playlist:

Lovers are Losing
Everybody's Changing
Bend and Break (This is my fav from their first album, I was wibbly)
Bad Dream
Again and Again
This is the Last Time
Spiraling
Eyes Open
Try Again
We Might As Well Be Strangers
Haven't Told Me Anything Yet
Leaving So Soon
You Don't See Me
Perfect Symmetry (My eyes were welling with tears through this one. And the audience getting to sing "Spineless dreamers, hide in churches", etc bit ~)
Somewhere Only We Know
Crystal Ball
Is it Any Wonder? (ROCK ON!)
Bedshapped (Very beautiful!)

I was about to have a heart attack when they didn't play "Is it Any Wonder?" until the first encore. I was like "D:" after "Perfect Symmetry" since "Is it Any Wonder?" was the only one of my favs they hadn't played.

The venue was nearly full, and it was awesome. Keane isn't a huge, big, well-known band, but it was really awesome to go and be with other people that love the under-appreciated band, too. They are a very fun band to see live. Their songs are generally mild, but live it's like "WE WILL ROCK YOUR FACE OFF!" and it was awesome :D

I'm glad Jess came with me, and enjoyed it ^_^

>.> NEVER MIND THE FACT I GOT HOME AT 12:30am AND AM NOW FUNCTIONING OFF OF FIVE AND A HALF HOURS OF SLEEP :D
