Friday
Friday after work I got really moody and angry at my family. I came home to my room a disaster cause my brothers unhooked the Gamecube and played in the family room... WITHOUT ASKING! So my figures and plushies were on the floor and crapily rearranged on the ones that didn't fall. I had to laminate stuff for my Sharing Time, but ALL the roads were closed to get there and I was too impatient and cranky to find an alternate route to it, so I went home, got happy juice and ate mac n' cheese, while making variations of a Tamaki icon which I still need to post. I calmed down and Katie and Brin came over and we goofed off and watched Host Club.
Saturday
There were no cartoons awaiting me, so I slept until 9 or so, and woke up and got ready for my primary kids to show up to practice our lesson. Only ONE showed up. I showed her the game and we played in my room until her father came and got her. She wondered why Ed was all over my room, so I displayed my love for FMA and Vic to her, and I think I freaked her out. Yeah :3
Went up stairs to pass time and eat lunch while waiting for Brin to fix her car stuff. I ended up talking to nickelodeon through her fandom meme and mine for a bit, until I'm like "okay, spammed the LJ's enough, IM's!" So we talked to each other through AIM for almost two hours I think. We get a long pretty well, and have lotsa fun in our conversations. Talking to Steph makes me happy, just cause she's hilarious and makes me laugh, and everytime she talks about TenPuri I wanna watch it more!
TenPuri Spaz
Friday night she posted a Best of TenPuri "soundtrack" up for grabs on her LJ and I downloaded it. I really enjoy character songs of a lot of series, even those I haven't seen. Sadly, the Bleach ones... half of them freak me out and can't listen to like more than a minute of them. So yeah, I downloaded it and burned it, and I LOVE it! I didn't expect me to love it so much.
My favorite songs being: Against Wind, Cross With You, Golden Pair, Happy Goody, Tonde! Mawatta..., JUMP, Seasons, and Endless Dream. Brin and I listened to it while we played Zelda and it was great fun and we drooled at the sexy voices X3.
I got bored yesterday morning and decided to look up the VAs cause a lot of the voices sounded familar to me. Discovery that makes me EXTREMELY happy!: Eiji = Jounouchi, Oishi = Honda! A comic duo that was already together in a series and it makes me happy like whoa! Even though Hiroki-san totally doesn't sound like his usual voice (high and slightly nasely, but cute), but it's him anyway. I'll be watching more of the anime than I planned on X3
There's also a blonde for Krista in TenPuri :3 JIROH! X3
But... for some reason he has brown hair in the anime. FTW? But he's such an adorable dork anyway, and such a cutie! LOL
So I'll watch it for him too.
Went to Borders Saturday night and randomly picked up Prince of Tennis volumes and found that Jiroh comes in at Volume 13 XD. I should go pester my library to pick up TenPuri so I can read it easier than online.
Okay, so Brin came over and we beat the Shadow Temple of Zelda and yelled at Link a lot cause he was being dumb, but realized that it was the controllers fault, and switched the controller. I'm sad about that, cause I like my happy, cute, shiny controller T_T. We listened to the TenPuri Cd, and my Gravitation Cd and got the queer song stuck in our heads!
Katie called and we went to her house and watched A-Kon videos, went out for Panda Express, and went to Borders. I wasn't planning to spend money, really. Just to go and look, but lo and behold they had my Fullmetal Alchemist Volume 8 two weeks early! sjdakwijij OMG yea! AND they had what I had no idea was being released; the Fullmetal Alchemist Profile book! OMG yeah again!
Fullmetal Alchemist Spaz (spoilers lurking here)
The FMA manga is totally amazing. I love it a lot. If you don't feel like watching the anime, go read the manga. As much as I LOVE the anime, there are certain aspects of the manga that the anime cannot compare to. After Hughes dies the anime and manga go in completely different directions (which is expected I guess), but they go so far off they become practically different stories (well, sorta, the Greed arc is still there, but it's different.) But throughout little things are similar as well.
Anime!Ed is a bit more hot-headed and tends to not show his emotions on his sleeves. Manga!Ed, he's a bit more sentimental and understanding of people and situations, yet... more evil XD.
I like how Al uses a bit more Alchemy earlier on in the anime. But in the manga, in book 8, he can do alchemy without the transmutation circle, by clapping his hands like Ed. Why? Because slowly he's regaining his memories of when Ed transmuted him, so the more he remembers the more powerful the Alchemy.
Manga!Winry is so much cooler. She's more of a character and not so much a tag-a-long.
The Humonculi are made completely different in the anime/manga. It's amazing really. That factor ALONE changes a lot of the story for both the anime and the manga. Some of the Humonculi are different as well. There is no Sloth or Wrath equivalent in relation to the anime. The Pride in the anime is actually Wrath, Sloth isn't Trisha it's some huge guy, and Pride hasn't been discolosed yet in the manga. There is no Trisha Humonculi walking around, and it's REALLY creepy when you find out something about the "thing" Ed and Al brought back *shiver*
Can't wait till I can sit down and read the profile book, though. I love Arakawa-sensei's writings. She makes me giggle.
We sat in Katie's room when we got back from Borders and read through our manga's and chatted in her room, and played with her laptop. Katie was trying to record me reading a Tamaki rant, but I couldn't find a good one. Brin was reading aloud her Nana at times.
Vic called us "The Utah Contingent" in his Livejournal. That made me smile.
I went home at 11:30pm and read FMA 8 before I went to bed.
Sunday
Sharing Time went all right. I totally BSed it by making a matching game and singing songs when a match is made. It's kinda hard to do that with the younger kids. The bad part was that I made it too long, and my kids wouldn't move so the other kids could pick a number. While I was doing it, I felt the other teachers and leaders were thinking I wasn't prepared and blah blah blah. I didn't really care, I just wanted to be done with it.
However, my children weren't very good in class. They wanted to constently be talking, and they talk over each other, so it's just noisy. I get them quiet for a while, while I teach, one raises their hand to answer a question then is talked over by another kid... They are just so self-righteous saying that they didn't do something, when they really do, and accuse another of it.
My mom's like: "Ask them to release you so you can go to the Singles Ward."
"Yeah, let's runaway from my calling, cause that's the RIGHT thing to do >_>"
Just a few more months, and I'll be moving. Maybe then I'll ponder going to the Singles Ward. I'm not sure what Sanaquin Singles are like. I know the Lehi ones are lame.
But, speaking of Sanaquin, we drove up to our house yesterday after dinner and the framing and walls are up. My.room.is.so.small. My bed will take up HALF my room. I'm gunna get a Full so I have more space. I'm so used to so much space in the room I have now, I'm gunna go insane. So that aspect of the house, I'm not really happy. I spend the most time in my room then the rest of the family, I like my room spacious. But then again, I won't have friend over really anymore; I'll be living so far away, I'll be the one to be visiting them -_-. Then my mom's like: "you won't be living with us much longer anyway..." The living room, kitchen, family room are bigger while the bedrooms are all smaller than our house we're in now.
I have thought about moving out and moving in with a few friends on campus, but Brin and Athena the only one I see doing that, moving into dorms or the apartments by UVSC since we'll all be going to school there. Cause, we all like the same things and we could make our dorms cool! Then I wouldn't have to worry about my familys comments anymore!
Anyway, Vern bought a bootlegged boxset of X-Men. Every single episode off ebay. We watched five episodes yesterday XD I forgot HOW cool/hawt Gambit is. GambitxRogue forevar!
Also played a few rounds of Mexican Train Dominoes and went to bed after reading xxxHolic, rant/spaz will be tomorrow.
So that was my weekend. A bit more eventful than I thought.
Anyone know of any good lotion or cream used for rebuilding skin? That's really the problem with my hands right now. My palms are really thin-skinned are subject to itchiness, do to a cream my dermo-man gave me, but didn't give me a solution for when it gets too thinned out.
Also, I'm leaving for Vegas for my family trip Saturday morning/early afternoon. My boyfriend needs a companion for the fourth, she's avaiable, please keep him company. I need to leave her a key to my room too.
