I didn't have to scrape frost off my car, or wear my blue coat, or my hoodie even. I drove home from school with the AC on listening to Jack Johnson. Oh yeah, spring is coming baby, get here faster! Even though 50-60 degrees isn't really considered warm but it's the warmest it's been this year and it's warm to me, so there, hah. However it's supposed to rain or snow tomorrow! How is that possible? The sun is shinning, the sky is blue the grass is green -okay it's not green yet- but gah, I hate Utah's weather with a burning fiery passion!
When I get home I'm gunna do my moodtheme, and take hours to do so. I've downloaded an Ed, Al, Hughes, and Greed theme so I can intermix them cause the person I got them from said I could, so my moodtheme will be awesome. Too bad there's not a Winry one... oh well.
My scabs of my blisters are coming off already, hurrays.
Because I'm running out of things to do at work, I'm gunna rant about American Cartoons, and how much I want them back on TV and boot off the stupid ones that are on now.
I got curious and browsed You Tube the other day and found the
Mighty Max Opening, no episodes sadly, but I realize how much I miss that show after watching the opening. Max started my obsession with the Blonde-Blue eye guys. Not only that, he's voice by Rob Paulsen which is much smexiness for a 12 year old boy XD. But anyway, the show itself was really original and awesome. I even remember some of the great lines, but that's not hard to imagine, knowing me.
Animaniacs, Pinky and The Brain, and Tiny Toon Adventures are shows that I muchly want, and are such classics!
Moving on to the cool Disney shows of the late 80's early 90's. Recently, Chip n' Dale Rescue Rangers and Ducktales have made it to Dvd boxsets, and that's so awesome. Now they are releasing Goof Troop and Quack Pack, but for some psychotic-neurotic-in-Helly-Kitty-underwear-reason they are releasing these dvd-by-dvd not a nice box per season ala others. Goof Troop was cool just cause I love Goofy and Max, but it never held a candle to my love for A Goofy Movie, maybe cause Max is older and that started my love for Jason Marsden... Anyway, it had a few episodes that I loved, so I don't mind it being released how it is, but Quack Pack!.
I loved that show, and I do want the full series. Huey, Dewey, and Louie have always been great through Disney history, and to see them as teenagers is just a brillant idea. I particuarlly loved Daisy in the series too, she was cool and well had a character. Louie was always my favorite and being voiced by E.G. Daily was a plus.
Bonkers is one I'm surprised hasn't made it to Dvd along with Darkwing Duck (both awesome, whoing Jim Cummings at his best). I was actually able to acquire the first episodes on ebay for Bonkers, just to hold me out until Disney is smart and gets it out onto Dvd. Talespin was a great series as well that was loaded with Krista goodness, and I bought one off ebay as well. These are such classics, they must all be released to Dvd. I expect Gummi Bears to be a boxset hopefully.
The Gargoyle Series is really popular so I'm able to get that on Dvd ^^
In addition to Talespin Disney created other series based off the recent Disney Movies: Winnie the Pooh, The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, Timon and Pumbaa, 101 Dalmations, Jungle Cubs, Tarzan... I may be missing some.
Aladdin was really cool with introducing new characters and villians, I'd consider purchasing that boxset.
101 Dalmations had a few episodes, but it was still cute along with Jungle Cubs.
What I REALLY want is Timon and Pumbaa in a nice dvd boxset. It was original and funny and sometimes really random, but it was my favorite. I still have random lines from that show in my head. When I moved here to Utah Disney Channel/Toon Disney had NEW episodes! I guess it became popular a bunch of episodes were created, though not as good and witty as before, there were mildly amusing ones, particularly the one when Timon tried to impress a girl in making movies XD. The quality of the coloring was really seizure causing too @-@. I just loved this series too much, there was a point that a memorized the order of when the episodes aired. Yeah, I'm so pathetic.
Oh and give me my 1993 Sonic the Hedgehog. I have the lone Dvd that I found out of the blue, but I want the rest T_T
Pepper Ann was part of the newer television series that I loved. It's just hilairious and the moment I see it on dvd I want!
There's also a few Nickelodeon shows I miss that are pretty much gone to awkward or very RARE air times, or the Nicktoons channel: Rocko's Modern Life, Angry Beavers, and Hey Arnold. Those were cool shows. Unlike Rugrats that has turned really old and lame that is still getting new episodes and even spin-off series, grrr.
The Wild Thornberry's was a good show too that I consider adding to my collection.
Now in the 2000's the cartoons quality and context has fallen. The cartoons aren't as nicely made. The characters are squared and hidieous. The stories are lame and not creative/original. The humor is potty humor and innuendos. I cannot stand Spongebob Squarepants, I hate it! The newer shows like Danny Phantom and Fairly Odd Parents are shows that I'm not too bothered by and actually enjoy cause they are funny, though don't have that spark from when I was a child.
I don't know if it's because I'm older that I don't like some of the things children are watching nowadays, or what, but gah, I can't stand half the new stuff. I think that's part of the reason they import anime and dub it cause the American's know what they make now are crap, and a reason why they like to mimic anime in shows like Teen Titans and Avatar: The Last Airbender, which I enjoy cause there's the prettiness and originallity and even though they are anime based, they hold things that are likened to American cartoons, such as humor and jokes.
I may be crazy... okay I am crazy, but I love cartoons or animation of any kind so it sucks that things that make it to the theater are computer generated which is pretty in it's own way, but nothing beats traditional. Reason why I love Disney sequels cause they are traditional animation! I kinda want to go see Curious George, just so I can support any traditional animation... even though it's greatly computer inhanced.
