Joe finally came home from Canada on Friday. I can't even begin to tell you all how glad I am that he is home again. We had a very busy weekend catching up on all the errands we had to put off until he came home, and also doing some fun things as well. Most of what we did this weekend though was to get ready for Christmas! We have been terrible about not preparing for our favorite holidays lately (poor, poor Halloween) and we didn't want to let Christmas pass by without acknowledgment, so we decided to do a tree and decorate a bit. PICTURE TIIIIIME!!!
Check out this AWESOME nutcracker we found at Walgreen's, of all places. I saw it on the shelf and held it up for Joe to see and it was kismet.
I have ALWAYS wanted a white tree for some reason and we just happened to find one at a ridiculously low price, and we didn't have to wait for any first of the year sales. I love how the lights make it look pink. Our decorations and ideas are usually far from traditional. I wouldn't have it any other way.
We couldn't find a tree topper we liked, so we improvised a bit.
Christmas isn't Christmas without a little Holy Water, er, or something...
My man Action Figure Jesus got in on the action, even though he is a Hanukkah kind of guy.
This ornament plays "Christmas in Hollis" by RUN DMC. You can even scratch the little records.
Of course, ANYTIME is cheeseburger time.
This weekend wore me out. I am still sleepy.
I also got a lot of knitting done this weekend. Nicky stalked me the entire time. If I had yarn in my hand, she was watching me.
Thor is playing Skyrim again.
That's it for now! Hope everyone has a good one, whatever you celebrate!
