I love working for the state. I have to account for every minute of every day. I have to maintain a public calendar. This policy results in multiple e-mails when I set up a business lunch with one of the local folic acid educators. I know that Lizz is probaby just looking at my schedule for next week. But one e-mail was not enough to satisfy her questions about my lunch plans. I have been in the job for two years next week. Surely, I can network within my region for the benefit of my patients without being grilled.
And they wonder why I don't put things on my calendar.
