So I received an email from good ol' Grandma and the subject line stated, "Please Watch."
Curiosity struck and I opened the email. This link was posted below:

After I opened the link, I was horrified to find it was Newt Gingrich giving a speech about the War on Terror. Amused and a tad perturbed by my grandmother's political convictions, I sent a reply email. It went a little something like this...
"Dear Grandma Kathy,
Ok I'm not a big fan of Mr. Gingrich, and personally that speech didn't do it for me. "Win the War on Terror." Let's think about that statement for a second... okay that is a ridiculous notion in itself. We are not going to win the War on Terror. We have to accept that as a nation, and we also have to come to terms with the fact that beginning the War on Terror was a rash and hasty decision in the first place. The good old American way of immediately reacting with brawn instead of brains. And what is Mr. Gingrich's concept of "winning" anyway? What? When there is no more terrorism? And what is this solution he is proposing? What does he mean by "we have to start being blunt?" Are we supposed to occupy the entire Middle East until 'those Muslims come to their senses'? He says so many things implying that we are not being effective and are unprepared, but does he offer a solution? Are we supposed to just drop the bomb as we did on Nagasaki and Hiroshima? It does not work that way. In my opinion, Mr. Gingrich is a conservative, right wing nut job who incites paranoia and blows out a bunch of hot air.
Love,
Megan"
