Music has the inescapable quality of unleashing even the most well protected emotions in a man.

There are some precious moments when even in the middle of great business, an overwhelming sense of calm can allow one to focus on the precious things of life. This nostalgia is at once luxurious and sobering; it is both an exctasy in recalling the pleasant events of the past and, in the same manner, it is disastrous, leading to great desire to relive such moments. Furthermore, one is made aware of the fleeting quality of his ongoing life, to which he is thus made to cling.

I talked to Timmy yesterday. It really was like talking to an old friend, something I thought would never happen between us. And I saw Chris Coccagna today. He turned 21 yesterday; I had his birthday card in my bag and got to give him a good birthday hug. I guess I'm just getting kinda emo about the inevitability of not seeing the people I've come to hold dear as much as I do now. And even tho we haven't been hanging out too long, I'm already going to miss my roommates.

But for the time we are together, let us treasure it.
