Someone replied to a very old story of mine and informed me that the LotR line (cribbed from the book's narrative and given to Grima to deliver to Eowyn in the film) was not "a hutch to trammel some wild thing in" but "a hunched tremmelsome wild thing."
Is "tremmelsome" even a word????? Why would you correct someone without making absolutely sure you knew you were right?? (I would have at least clicked on the "subtitle" feature.) Most importantly of all things: why the fuck do I care??? (Someone else thanked me for turning LotR into crap but that doesn't bother me because he was clearly not a reader of slash fanfic and because turning a classic like LotR into crap with just one fanfic is kind of an epic achievement, IMHO.)
My period is a week late, my fic is NOT writing itself, and my PMS is eating my soul (which is a hunched tremmelsome thing at the best of times). Also - my job has effectively eliminated my instinct for serial commas; it has become automatic to leave them off.
