[Filtered from Prefect, lol.]

Barge. Tell me stories about Prefect. I'm curious about what type of man he is.

[Inmate filter.]

Or any of the other wardens. Is there anyone in particular that a new inmate should watch out for?

[Private - Prefect]

You promised me a drink, warden.

Oh, did I? All right, Comrade, I'll meet you on the deck?

Yeah. [Pause. Deck. Top of the boat.] I thought we should do some warden and inmate things over a drink.

Like... talking about your family? Or your crimes? [Pause] How do you feel about working in the garden?

No. Not any of those things. [Long pause.] I'm not a garden person, to be honest?

I think that.. change, would be good for you.

Yes. Changing your routine to accommodate gardening. I think that would be a good act as your warden. So I command you to work in the garden.

[Pause]

Not right now though, we should... [OH WAIT CAN'T GET TO THE PUB, CRAP.] I'll come to your cabin, Comrade. And I'll bring gin.

You command me? Seriously, man. I'm not working in the garden. It's not going to happen. If I have to, I'll do the library or even the kitchen. But no the garden.

You want to meet with me in my cabin for private drinks? Well, I can handle that.

I... as your warden, I assign you to the garden. It's a good place to work! There's less likelihood of getting burned or beaten up than there is in the library or the kitchen.

I'll be over shortly, Comrade.

Yeah, like someone would ever beat me up. Look, how often would I have to work in this garden?

Yeah, okay.

Three times a week. In the kitchen or library it'd have to be every day.

[Aaaand sure enough, a few minutes later, there's a wardenly knock on your door.]

[And here's Barron, looking somewhat puffed, opening the door. He may have spent the last few minutes taking down post-its and putting away a mass of journals, notes and mind maps.]

Hey. How's it going? [Smooth.]

[Prefect offered Barron a ~Friendly Smile~ and held out a bottle of gin, in an apparent offering of friendship and soon to be intoxication.]

It's going quite well, Comrade. How is it going with you? You didn't get any trouble from Rex's escape attempt, did you?

[Asking now, because he totally forgot to check on you at the time. SORRY BRO.]

[Barron takes the gin, with a suitably wide 'I just got what I wanted' grin.]

No, no. Watched it all from a distance, kept myself out of it. Pretty crazy stuff. That Rex has got guts.

[Barron sounds impressed more than angry. He thinks what Rex did was all kinds of awesome.]

[Prefect gives a somewhat understanding nod.]

I think he's a little bit irrational at the moment, Comrade, but Rex is all right.

[He steps forward, expecting Barron to back off and let him in the room.]

[And Barron does. His newly free of notes room. No spying for you, Prefect.]

Yeah, Rex is a smart one. Something for everyone to keep in mind.

[Time to open the bottle, om nom nom.]

[Prefect gives Barron a rueful look as he enters the room. TRY NOT TO SOUND SO IMPRESSED, GUY.]

It didn't work out for him though, even though he was smart. The Barge isn't easy to escape from.

Isn't easy. [Have a sly grin, Prefect.] So it is possible to escape after all? I'm intrigued, Prefect.

[Trying to find glasses for bottle now. Why so messy, room.]
