How I love spring

Apr 06, 2020 20:20

This evening's garden stroll.

Can't remember what these little annuals are, but they overwintered.

The potato leaves are coming through the surface of the soil. These are planted in 5 gallon buckets.

The catnip is coming along nicely. This is planted in a pot to keep it from taking over the garden and romping through the neighborhood.

Clematis blooms that escaped through the fence slats, to bring my neighbor some delight pretty soon.

The same clematis, on my side of the fence.

Foxglove - grown from seed last year - in bud.

Hosta planted last year.

Iris in bud, planted in a half whiskey barrel in the east garden.

Dissectum Japanese maple. The tree is about 18 years old.

Foxglove and Japanese painted fern in the shady west garden.

Lavender buds.
