So yes, this past week was spring break for us Berklee kids.
It's really strange... every time we have a Friday Senior (that's mine and my roommates' term for "awesome party on Friday") the weather ends up being terrible! Often, nobody comes because of it, but because there are seven of us, we can usually make a party of it even with no outside blood. However, a bunch of people came last Friday, even though the weather was crappy enough to
knock our neighbor's tree over into our backyard.
Obviously, these were taken far after the bad weather; the piles and piles of snow have long since melted.
I keep talking about my new bicycle; or rather, I've mentioned it once.
This is it.
Yes, it's old, but it's a road bike, which makes considerable difference seeing as I'm mostly riding on the road. I used to ride a mountain bike; there was rarely a case in which I needed to be able to ride through crap, and everything about its design slowed me down. Now I can just go fast. Well... faster, at any rate. I'm still one of the slowest of the roommates, but the margin has narrowed considerably!
The Boston Public Library makes the Stanley A. Milner library in Edmonton look like a hole in the wall. Seriously. I have never seen so many books in my life. It's unbelievable. I got a library card this week, and I'm going to read a lot. Usually I read books the second my mom puts them down, but since I don't have her books here, I can't do that. I forgot about libraries, though. I've got a sort-of plan that will have me reading canonical classic literature, at least as much as I can find of it, or as much as I won't get bored with... I don't know how long I'll be able to stick to it. Although, it is well known by me that if there has been a dry spell in terms of reading (which there has been) then I'll read anything. If that's how I can immerse myself in erudition, then so be it! Ha!
I think that's all I got, or at least it's all I feel like typing right now.
