I should really be transcribing.

Truly, I should. But... I practiced a LOT today (well, a lot for me, meaning three hours) and the thing I'm supposed to be transcribing is ridiculously difficult. I'm doing an exact transcription of Stevie Wonder's Superstition; and I mean, yeah, I could write you a lead sheet for that in my sleep. But note for note? Dude, he overdubbed those clav lines like, eight million times, and they're impossible to hear. I've got a few of them... but it's hard, and I feel like whining.

I do have stuff to say, though! My Hammond B3 organ class met for the first time today. I am in LOVE. I mean... dude. A whole class, devoted to Hammonds, and I now get access to the practice rooms with actual B3s and Leslies in them... like... DUDE. I am so excited you have no idea. It will be amazing. My teacher told us that Nord has just come out with a dual-manual organ, the Nord C3, within the last month; I was excited because I thought that it meant that it would have the organ stuff with two manuals, and all the stuff you'd expect to find on the Nord Stage 88, which I want to buy. But, it doesn't; it's just an organ. That kind of sucks, because what's great about the Nords is that they have such good sounds for all the keyboard instruments that you might want to play; like, already, they have excellent acoustic piano, electric piano, organ and synth sounds. You never have to worry about bringing more than one keyboard to a gig that way. The only hangup is on an organ, you really do need the two separate manuals, so even though their single-manual keyboards have all the organ sounds... you can only use one at a time... when you really need two. Oh well. I guess if they made the dual-manual keyboard with all the other stuff, not only would it be like a million dollars to buy, it would make all their other products obsolete! It's a businessman's world, I'm afraid.

But look at the Stage 88. Isn't it beautiful?

Yes, I'm certainly saving up for this baby. Anyways... yeah, that's keyboard stuff. Look at this though; see all those dudes endorsing the new Nord? Bruce Katz is the teacher of my B3 class :D:D:D:D Also, here is a video of him and Henry Butler jamming! Bruce is playing the C3, and Henry Butler is playing the Nord Stage 88, the one I want to buy. I'm learning the B3 from that guy! Like whoa!!

I made fried rice today. It was AMAZING. I'm sorry I didn't think to take a picture, because it definitely looked as amazing as it tasted. Which is amazing. I really do feel like I'm getting better at cooking! I used to suck, and now I'm not so bad; I guess it is just practice, really... I do a lot more cooking than I ever used to, and I cook food only for me, and food that I like. That's one thing I like about living so far out of the way of everything in Allston; I never feel like going out to eat once I've gotten home. It would be so easy to do that if I lived in the Back Bay or Fenway... so many restaurants that are closer than the grocery store. Anyways. Nobody probably likes hearing about my cooking except for my mom, so I'll shut up :D

Good night!
