Happy New Year
When I did my personal 2008 retrospective, I saw that although I perceived 2008 as a very hard year, it was more in the nature of challenges attempted and succeeded than random hard stuff. In other words, it was a year of much progress.
So, although I am happy to see it end, happy to see the new year begin, 2008 was a big year for me, in the best way.
It's all about perspective.
I made three new friends in 2008 who may shape the course of my life - which is grand - and even more significantly I reconnected with several cherished old friends.
Although our Christmas trip to California was cancelled and we were snowed in, TS and the Monsters and I had a lovely holiday home alone and so far 2009 has been good to us, as well.
Here's hoping it's good to everyone.
