Two of my dearest friends from youth have reentered my life. It is only phone and email contact, but to reconnect with each has brought such a feeling of satisfaction. One is happily married with 2 kids - that he is an 8th grade teacher of history and english is no surprise. The other is just divorced (last week) and is an environmental chemist and has a four year old son, about whom he is crazy... none of that is a surprise either.
With each, reconnecting is like picking up a conversation we left off last week. They are my tribe.
Sometimes when you bond with people, it is just that way.
I love these guys so much, it's almost like we never lost touch at all.
I can't wait for C to meet them.
