Thank You For Smoking

I needed some attitude therapy, so my handsome husband took me out for a burger and onion rings, and then to see Thank You For Smoking, which I will review below, and then to Lowe's, where at first he tortured me in typical hardware store fashion by taking eons to look at crap I don't understand for projects I am not in the loop on, but *then* he let me spend eons in the plant department picking out perennials and annuals to dress up the drab yards, and we kept looking at the plants even after it started raining. Was all rather romantic, actually.

So, the movie is awesome. A perfectly crafted satire, in which *I* (anti-smoking maven, never had one in my mouth in my life) was rooting for the tobacco lobbyist. The writing of the characters and the deliveries of each actor were excellent.

Next sentence is a spoiler: I will say my favorite part was how/that he got back at the girl who betrayed him. Hee hee. His kid was super cute, too.

Loved it. Smart and funny. Well done and clever. Well written, a unique storyline, well cast, well acted, well directed. Had some clever Daily-Show-Colbert-Report-style graphics and satire in it.

Top notch. Go see it.
