A couple of weeks ago while on my lunch break at work, I was in a bookshop as usual. I was looking at the Terry Pratchett books and I happened to look down to the left and saw a hardback book with a couple of dragons outside of is it St Paul's Cathedral? It was called Victory of Eagles and reading the synopsis I discovered it was the fifth book in a series. I then picked up the first novel and looked at that one. Well it all sounded rather interesting, so I memorised the name of the author, so I could check out a review on amazon. The reviews were quite excellent so I bought the first two books and have been working my way through them. I've finished the first one and am about two-thirds through the other one. They're set in the time of the Napoleonic Wars and they have dragons. I can't say I've ever read a book about dragons before, one did appear briefly in one of the Terry Pratchett books I've read, but it was imaginary, so it might not count. Well, I've been thinking what would happen if we moved that particular universe forward a few centuries to our time (or at least Benton Fraser's time). I've written out a bit of a story, it's a bit bad, as it's never been beta read, but gives the basic idea.
