I seem to recall his bicycle being hit by a car at some point in either the late 90s or early 00s, so it could be a result of that. I was trying to work out which leg it was for a fic I'm trying to not write.
Could be. And hee trying not to write?
I think one of the reasons was the way she started out with Tony, I couldn't quite work out whether she was gay or not.
I've always read her as bisexual.
I do wonder what happened with the actress who played Kate. It sounded from the special features on series 3 as if she might have wanted to leave the show. I always thought it was one of those strictly writing decisions, like the ones Joss Whedon pulls.
She did want to leave but I think she requested she not be killed off. And they killed her off anyway.
It's the only one which stands out as possible, but when I watched the last episode of series 3 and Gibbs didn't even remember Ducky, that's when I start having doubts, especially when he seems to be able to remember Jennifer Shepard, who he didn't meet till he'd already known Ducky for a while.
Though really if Gibbs has only known Ducky 10 years and Ducky knew him while he was married to all 3 wives and his first wife died 15 years before that then those marriages really mustn't have lasted very long at all. Something very fishy is going on, especially when Gibbs tells Kate that Ducky looked like Illya Kuryakin when he was younger, so how did he know if he didn't know him back then. Looked through Ducky's photo album? Not sure I can picture Gibbs doing that somehow.
The canin contradicts itself there. There is a line in another episode that states Gibbs has known Ducky for over 17 years I think. Suddenly it gets retconned to 10...Nit to mention such short marriages would possibly be illegal as it takes some time to get divorced etc. That episode bascially throws out all we assume about Ducky and Gibb's friendship up to that point. Veyr odd indeed.
I wouldn't know the difference, which ones are being shown on five at the minute? I saw one on Saturday with McGee's sister, is that series 4 or 5. I know the photograph separating the adverts had a picture of Gibbs with a beard and moustache and I think he was supposed to have had facial hair on series 4.
Five seems to be showing different ones - season 2 and season 4 possibly. The episode with McGee's sister was season 4. And yes he has facial hair for the firt bit of season 4. Didn't suit him.
The general plot has been in my head for a number of years, so I've been pretty successful at it so far. But unfortunately every now and then something will spark and plot will develop a bit more.

That's what I thought when she was first introduced, but then it seemed like they never mentioned the interest in women thing again, at least in series 3.
She did want to leave but I think she requested she not be killed off. And they killed her off anyway.
That's slightly amusing. But then how else would she have left and they have to think about things like ratings and if it's better to have someone get killed than just let them find another job then they'll go with that. Killing her off definitely had more of an impact.

That sounds more realistic to me.

I don't think I've seen any episodes where he has the facial hair.

And one day the whole thing might come out...

Yeah they do actually drop it and we never get the same hints again. A pity as that could have been an intriguging aspect to her character.

I agree. It was really the only way out for her character. After-all where else could she have gone? She practically got thrown out of the secret service so I can't say they would want her back. Kate couldn't have gone back so...only one way to go.
That sounds more realistic to me.
I think so.
