What's this world coming to!!?!?!?
Hahahaha, anyway... to say that things have been hectic would be an understatement. We had a couple of large events all within a short amount of time, so I've been pulling out the remaining hair on my head! things are still going well... I'm exceeding expectations, my merchandise is starting to be seen around town, and people are recognizing me! Hahahaha! This month starts the beginning of our season... though we don't play until November, we're now on the 2006-2007 season, so now we have to go out and prove ourselves. THe funny thing is... I've already made more than half of what some teams make ALL SEASON LONG! I'm doing extremely well.
Personally, things are getting better. I went out on my first REAL date in about 3 years. The funny thing is that the girl I went out with was a girl that was causing me a lot of pain when I first moved out here. She said she wanted to hang out, we'd set plans, then she'd just not call me to let me know she couldn't go... or, she'd always crap out on me, but I'd have to call her first.
She's proven herself a good amount more in the past month or so. We've been hanging out more frequently, going out to dinner or just relaxing at her place. last week, we ended up getting REALLY wasted... nothing happened, but I think it opened up a door or two that wouldn't have been open before. We chatted about some things, and we both realized that something may be there. I asked her out on Sunday, we were originally going to go out on Monday, but I had to cancel due to a previous engagement that I forgot about.
We went out on Wednesday, and it was a lot of fun! She REALLY wanted to see X-Men (I know... romantic :-P Besides, I've seen it a couple of times before)... so we went to the movie, then for some ice cream. There's this little area out in back of the area where the movie theater is (and, coincidentally, my office) that has this BEAUTIFUL fountain... it's this awesome rock fountain with water falling off all around it... there's a nice walk way, some beautiful flowers, even little bridges... it's awesome! We walked around there for a bit, then we went to a restaurant to get a quick bite to eat and a drink.
The dinner conversation was so much fun! I found out that she liked me even before I moved out here! I know... sounds odd, but we talked a lot on the phone (to which redsaxy can attest to. She really liked my personality and was excited to meet me! Anyway, we realized that there is definitely something there... after food, we went back to the fountain, walked around a bit, stared at the stars... really romantic! We were cuddling a little bit. It was getting late, so we went back to the apt complex where she dropped me off (she loves to drive), and we did kiss :) It was short and sweet... and she got really shy! Lol! After we kissed, she had this HUGE grin on her face and ran to her car! Hahahaha! It was really cute!
We've hung out a couple of times since, and we have our second date tomorrow (Monday). We shall see what happens!
