Too many people are to stupid to take a look at what is really going on... And it seems as though no one knows their recent american history. This entire disaster could of been prevented, well not necessarily the disaster itself but the deaths and poverty that have followed in the wake of this devastating blow on our country. In 1969 after hurricane Kameil hit the new orlands area president nixon had the national guard, and support of over 550 relief organizations WITHIN 32 hours. In 1992 Bush sr had the same relief in miami in under 24 hours after hurricane andrew... further more during the early 1980's president regan had relief efforts fully intact after only a few short hours after one of the worst earthquakes califorina had ever seen. and some how it takes george bush jr.. 5 fucking days? yeah whoever says bush isnt to blame are the same idiots who voted for him in the first place. A presidents first priority is the secure the sub stain the well being of his own people. yes the governors were to blame as well but above all it came down to bush himself after all, he's incharge of them isnt he?
Prior to this storm.. even years prior to the storm the government knew those levees would blow if a hurricane higher than a cat 3 would hit and massive flooding that we witness on TV would happen. was it ever fixed? The government also knew that that area affected was under a $20,000 tax bracket.. ( meaning poor people ) meaning people had no automobiles to evacuate the area. so answer me this... whats worse? evacuating people after the storm causing thousands of lives and even worse trauma for these victims or get them out of the area in the first place using the same means.. granted, when their was roads... evacuation would not have been as big of a problem as there is now. and yes the roads flooding and broke apart not allowing escape by car. but does it take 5 days to figure this out.. if we got there after 5 days howcome we werent there on day 1? its not rocket sience to figure you wouldve have to have used a hilacopter to get those people out of there.
Thirdly... after the storm... for anyone who has been glued to the news knows that these people trapped at the convention center and the super dome.. were not aloud to leave, there were roads to escape, but at the beginning of the road, were 8 national guardsmen with M-16's stopping the people from leaving the area cramped with over 40,000 people covered in their own shit and piss. and in front of the civic center not shown on the news was a pile of 56 lifeless bodies stacked up as if hitler was in control of this nation. and you say bush had nothing to do with this? You fucking idiot.. he's the one in control of the military incharge a.k.a the national guard and he gave orders not to let those people leave that cess pool of death? think twice before you say he had nothing to do with this and pull your head out of your ass. 61% of this nation voted for the dipshit... great job people. way to go to take care of your fellow man. respond in anger or agree go for it but all i ask... if you do respond to this post then please know what the fuck you are talking about and have proof, besides.. oh hes a great guy and i voted for him. otherwise please dont waste my time... im open to all opinions.. after all thats the greatest part of the nation is that we all have our opinions about this issue but once again please atleast understand where im comming from and the proof i have to back up my statement on this issue. Who is susspost to be responceable for all this if our own president wont even step up to the plate in the time allowed before a single american life was lost on his own soil?
