Once, kinda?

Was back when there was th'bug swarms goin' psycho; I'm still not sure just what happened - I remember seein' a bunch of the Yanma comin' in carpet-bombing th'place with Pineco, an'next thing I knew, I was in the Center. [Getting introduced to marshmallow hell via Rangiku, but that's a story for another time.]

Huh. ...well, it's pretty obvious that any time someone gets seriously injured, they just pass out and wake back up at the pokémon center. I'm wondering if it's actually possible for anyone to come to harm in Johto. Let alone be killed.

I'd heard y'can't die here, but I haven't wanted t'test it. Of course, that's assuming I didn't already with th'Pineco. You can get beat up, though - [He holds up one forearm, which still has some scars and fading marks from the Skorupi he'd had.] Got all of these since I got here, dealin' with a pokémon that wasn't real fond of people.

I took a pretty nasty blow to the head that one time during training, I'm sure I felt my skull crack before I passed out... and then woke up at the Center like nothing even happened.
