There Was An Earthquake Which De-Railed my Train of Thought

Stayed up 'til midnight to see Jimmy Fallon last night... Love They Might Be Giants' new album to bits. My younger sister was all, 'Flansburgh has a beard now? Whoah.' And I said 'Yes, he does, which is semi-odd because he shaves his arms/ legs, but not his face, now...' And that got me thinking, why did you grow a beard, Flans? Which led to a thought about Richard Nixon (whatever happened to him?), which led to a thought about that new opera, Nixon in China, and I wondered if I should see it. Which led me to think, 'Oh I should practise my Kronungs-messe solos before I forget', but it was like midnight, and I didn't want to wake anyone. Then I started thinking about a dream I had the other night, where I was a mass-murderer and I killed my husband, but it wasn't that scary, and that led me to think of my husband, which led me to think of dinner, which I made, a nice stir-fry with udon noodles, which led me to think, oh shit, I did not turn the stove off.

So thank you, John Flansburgh, for reminding me to turn the stove off.

Jeez.
