A long time would be an understatement.

So we stumbled across this relic over the past weekend. Let me tell you, Mike Sharkey, how embarrassing it is to look back on how arrogant and jerkish we were in our early 20s. However, interesting to see how many things I had forgotten over that time period. A lot of just random memories that I am glad that I am glad I journaled. It fills me with some remorse that I didn’t journal just to keep a record of my life. I now wish I had journal entries for right after these records cease. It’s interesting to see that my final entry is one of lost love and heartbreak since later in 2009 I would start dating my now wife, Jenn. Siobhan’s sister is the only way I described her in previous posts. We started dating in August of 2009, got engaged in December of that year and married June 19th, 2010. I married her and adopted her daughter, now our daughter, Trinity.

Then in August of 2010 I graduated from chiropractic school and we moved to St. Joseph, Michigan where I practiced for 2 years with my uncle Chad. It didn’t go well. We were blessed by the birth of our first child in September 2011, Calvin.

Then we moved to Memphis, TN in July 2012. As mentioned earlier, things didn’t go well in Michigan. Chad was essentially dishonest about the state of his practice and the need for another doctor. So I made the equivalent of $10/hr as a new doctor with a growing family.

I shall continue later.
